My name is Celine Mohtadi, and my pursuit of occupation is Speech Pathology; The

communication skill which are akin to a predisposed Speech Pathologist, is exemplified

through the quintessential nature of proficiency for any linguistic subsets such as phonology

(phonetics), morphology (formation of words) and syntax, to be proficient in those

2. Your personal attitudes, beliefs, and values about communication. (Approx. 60-70
words)
Communication is multifaceted and can be expressed in a multitude of ways through verbal,

non-verbal and written communication (Salim, 2023), ergo I believe the precipice of effective

communication is understanding, reason being you may effectively convey your thought,

however if no understanding was formed then you are essentially just speaking not

communicating. Although words and context form the basis of communication it is body

language, facial expression, paralinguistic and prosodic features that make a conversation

more nuanced. (Salim, 2023)

3. Your current communication strengths (include 2 examples) and weaknesses/areas

to improve (include 2 examples). (Approx. 60-70 words)
My strengths includes my tenacity to maintain eye contact and be attentive which is pivotal

when working with clients, as eye contact indicates your absolute attention on them and

attentiveness will ensure you are comprehending the client, henceforth forming more
effective interventions. My weaknesses is my inability to initiate conversations which stems

from my insecurity, a way to mitigate this issue is to increase exposure by starting

conversations in a work setting, customer service jobs are effective.
