A) Read the story.
NORMAN
This is Norman Babcock. He wasn’t very happy some time ago. Do you know why?
Well…Norman is special. He can talk to ghosts, but his parents didn’t believe him. And he didn’t have many
friends, just Neil. Sometimes the ghost of his grandma visited him and they watched TV. But it wasn’t the same,
he wanted friends.
One day his uncle Prenderghast said:
“You must help the people in this town. You must protect them!”
“Why?” asked Norman.
“Because many years ago the people of this town killed some men and women saying they were witches. Their
ghosts are angry and now they want to come back! They are going to start a horrible storm.”
“How can I help?” NEIL
“There is a ceremony. Everything is in this book. Read it and you’ll know”, said
uncle Prenderghast. And he gave him an old book.
Norman was very scared. But Neil was with him.
“Norman, don’t worry,” said his grandma, “Everything is going to be all right”.
So, Norman and Neil went to the cemetery to find the right place for the ceremony.
