Medico-legal report on slapped student's death out in a week

A 14-year-old student in Antipolo City died by getting slapped from his teacher. In a week,
the results of the medico-legal investigation into the death are expected to make public.
According to Hector Sorra, head of the PNP Forensics Group's Medico-Legal Division, they
discovered pulmonary tuberculosis in the student lungs. Other serious issues that may have
contributed to his death are mentioned in the record, such as alleged pulmonary tuberculosis and
physical abuse of a child. The mother of the victim claimed that she was not informed of her
son's sickness prior to his passing. But according to her, when her son was transported to the
hospital, he was displaying a number of symptoms, including a headache, eye pain, vomiting,
and earaches. The Department of Education's (DepEd) Schools Division Office announced the
formation of a fact-finding investigative team to investigate into the incident.

1. What platforms were used to spread the viral news? What do you think were the
intentions of those who posted it?
 This breaking news was widely shared on Facebook, on television, and online at
GMA News. They post on social media with the intention of, among other things,
raising awareness among people, preventing similar incidents from happening in
the future, and encouraging discussion so that all parents are aware of what is
happening to their kids. For example, they may discuss health issues affecting
their kids.

2. Do you think there should be a strict law on posting content on social media?
 There should be in order to prevent negative social media incidents and because
most social media users are young people rather than adults.

3. Who do you think should govern the implementations of these laws?


 Those organizations that aligns with the used of technologies and social media
should govern the implementations of those laws because they are the most
qualified to use it properly.

Maris Racal's viral video featuring her 'micro bangs' started circulating on the internet
when she posted a clip showcasing her new and unique hairstyle. In the video, she displayed her
bangs cut extremely short, creating a striking look that immediately caught the attention most of
the viewers. This daring hairstyle choice quickly gained popularity on social media, with people
sharing and discussing it extensively. Maris Racal's 'micro bangs' video became a trending topic
due to its distinct and unconventional style, and it generated a lot of buzz in the world of fashions
and beauty.

who posted it?
 The viral news about Maris Racal's micro bangs likely spread through various social
media platforms, such as Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. individuals may
have genuinely wanted to inform others about Maris Racal's new hairstyle, treating it as
news or an interesting update. Also many might have posted to express their thoughts and
opinions about her micro bangs, sparking discussions or debates on fashion and style.

2). Do you think there should be a type of law on posting content on social media?
 Yes, there should be some law to regulate content on social media because Laws can help
mitigate the spread of harmful content, such as hate speech, incitement to violence, and
disinformation, which can have real-world consequences, including violence and
discrimination. However, these laws must respect freedom of expression and user rights.

3). who do you think should govern the implementations of these law?
 The Governments and the organization that align in the platforms of social media should
govern the implementations of the law because they can facilitate cooperation and
consistency in regulations across borders.
Singer Jed Madela shared on Facebook that he was “honored” after finding out that a
school in Cotabato named a class section after him.

The OPM Singer Jed Madela posted a photo on his social media account about the viral
news about the school section in Cotabato. Jed Madela is also name of one section of Grade 1 in
Albert Einstein School in Cotabato. For Madela, it is an honor to be the namesake of such a
section, and said it makes people happy. “In times when I feel so unimportant and ignored in one
corner, my Lord picks me up and gives me the tightest hug. I am so honored. Woke up to the=se
photos sent (by) my friend Manduyod Rashid”, Madela said. “This is from Albert Einstein
School where they named Grade One under me! I’m so happy!!! Sending my my love and thanks
to Sir Edison, the faculty and the students! Hope to visit you in the future!!” he added.

intentions of those who posted it?
 This viral news was published by ABS CBN News, it also posted on their page in
Facebook. Philstar.com also posted on their page in Facebook about this viral
news. Its about to give full of love and appreciation to this School. Sharing the
attitude on how we appreciate a small or big effort they give to us. Also
remember, even though we feel that no one there for us, there is always one or
more person inspired on who you are.

2. Do you think there should a strict law on posting on social media? Why?
 Yes, there should be a strict law when in comes to posting on social media. But is
always about the content of the post for the safety of every individual especially
to every children that’s on facebook. We all know that in this generation, though
children that is not in the right age have a knowledge to use facebook.

3. Who do you think should govern the implementation of these laws?


 Since they may promote international collaboration and regulatory consistency,
governments and organizations that are aligned with social media platforms
should be in charge of enforcing the law.
