Lifestyle and Weight Management

Unit Plan
Unit Overview
Unit Title
Lifestyle and Weight Management
Unit Summary
Lifestyle and weight management are closely linked, as maintaining a healthy lifestyle is crucial for
controlling weight and preventing obesity. Lifestyle changes such as regular exercise, healthy eating
habits, and stress management can all play a role in weight management. A balanced diet should
include a variety of whole foods that are nutrient-dense and low in added sugars and saturated fats.

Additionally, incorporating strength training into exercise routines can also help strengthen muscles
and bones, reducing the risk of injury. Maintaining good posture and flexibility through activities can
contribute to injury prevention. Adopting a healthy lifestyle not only helps manage weight but also
increases overall physical fitness, leading to reduced risk of injury and better recovery outcomes.

ANALYSIS

The students will be divided into 4 groups and will be participating in a game called "Balanced Plate", In
this game, each must create balanced and nutritious meals using the app called pages or notes. Players

In groups, students examine the lifestyle and weight management. They then create a role-playing
scenario in 3 to 5 minutes while adhering to a presentation and criteria to show their understanding.

Students will create a group report with a powerpoint presentation based on the knowledge they have
gained. Students must conduct research about various sports that help weight management. For
presenting a creative presentation, students must use Canva or any online website and must have an
interactive presentation in class.
