6. Course Aims:
This course provides learners with knowledge on freight transport and multimodal
transport, consisting of concepts, transport rights, containerization and conditions for
multimodal transport. This course also provides knowledge on characteristics of various
modes of transportation (maritime, air, road and railway), documentation, pricing, customs
clearance, legal requirements and responsibility of Multimodal Transport Operator (MTO).
This course helps learners execute multimodal transport operations, understand cargo
insurance in multimodal transport as well as plan available alternative solutions to organize
efficient multimodal transport.
