Conceptual paper lecture

- Introduce the early part of the research

- Include info up to chapter 3
- Concept paper = based on secondary sources
- Abstract 200-300 words (depends on the journal specifications)
- Introduction = background + problem statement
- (in thesis) Section 3 methodology = need to tell about quali first, then quanti, then what is
mixed use, then only tell about what is your method.
- (in conceptual paper) just tell terus the method you use.
- (Concept paper) After intro, terus start with literature review, the title you want to tell, no
need say literature review.

Feedback:

- Conceptual paper introduction – research background, problem statement and research aim
and objectives.
- If definition need to tell its definition
- Conceptual paper use future tense, not past tense.
- Acknowledgement of conceptual paper is only 4 lines, not longer than 5 lines.

Abstract:

- 1st sentence is research background

- Then research issues
- Followed by the aim
- Research method, quality, semi structure and the respondents (in one sentence)
- Can justify the research gap in one sentence
- Significance of findings

Literature review

- Definition of terms, need to conclude after all the definition by the other researchers. Need
to summarize the definition found, what definition applies to your research.

Tips:

- Make sure the sentence is make sense, not hanging sentence. Not repeating.
