CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY FOR FABRICIATION AND

INSTALLATION OF ACCESS LADDER AND MOVABLE LADDER

1. Introduction
The purpose of this document is to lay down the systematic procedures for the various activities required
for FABRICATION And INSTALLATION OF Access Ladder and Movable ladder to ensure that all works
are carried out in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract specification and local and
national construction regulations of the Philippines.

2. Scope

This procedure laid out in this document shall primarily apply to the on-site conditions of the proposed
project. While its purpose may also be applicable to other setting, the contractors shall ensure to consult
the design team before using this. This document shall provide guide to the contractors in ensuring that
minimal or no effect to the existing structure document will be cause by the ongoing construction. This will
detail the procedures in constructing of the access ladder and movable ladder in the existing building
without compromising the structural integrity of the structures in the project site.

4. Construction Methodology and Procedure

4.1 Access Ladder

 Mobilization of equipment and manpower, materials and other items that shall be of
use in the implementation of the project
 Fabrication of L-support frame
 Fabrication of ladder frame
 Fabrication of rail
 Use a 16mm hex bolt M16 for the connection of the L-support frame and ladder
frame altogether
 Use 16mm hex bolt M16 for the connection of the rail to ladder frame
 Fabrication and installation of mid-level landing (checkered steel plate)
 Fabrication of upper ladder frame
 Fabrication of upper rail
 Use a 16mm hex bolt M16 for the connection of the upper ladder frame to mid-level
landing for connection
 Use a 16mm hex bolt M16 for the connection of the upper rail to upper ladder frame
 Fabrication and installation of upper floor landing level (checkered steel plate)

4.2 Movable Ladder

 Mobilization/Transport of small items of construction equipment and materials to

the roof deck on a building would be arranged by use of an access hoist
 Fabrication and Installation Movable ladder frame in to the roof deck
 Use a 16mm hex bolt M16 for the connection of the joint of the Movable ladder
frame
 Fabrication and Installation of stairs stringer frame
 Installation of Cross Braced Frame
 Use a 16mm hex bolt M16 for the connection of the stairs stringer frame to Movable
ladder frame and Cross Braced frame
 Installation of Floor landing
 Installation Extended Frame
 Installation of Railings
