Chapter 4

This chapter presents an analysis and interpretation of the data gathered in the
study. The data, presented in a table after being tallied and analyzed using a statistical
treatment method, are used to determine the sequence of a specific research problem
concerning the effects of financial stress on students' academic performance.

1.Socio – Demographic Profile of the Respondents

Table. Profile of the Respondents in terms of Gender.

GENDER FREQUENCY PERCENTAGE

FEMALE 21 55.26%
MALE 17 44.74%
TOTAL 38 100%

Table above shows that among the genders, females have the highest frequency
of 21, which accounts for 55.26% of the total. In contrast, males only have a frequency
of 17, representing 44.74% of the total.

As shown in the table above, of the 38 students surveyed, a nearly unanimous

99.99% reported experiencing some degree of financial stress. This includes 34.21%
who experience it "always," 18.42% who experience it "often," and 34.21% who
experience it "sometimes." Only 5.26% of students experience financial stress "seldom,"
and 7.89% report never experiencing it.
Approximately 34.21 percent of the Grade 12 Euter students are experiencing
financial stress, according to the data. This suggests that a significant portion of the
student population in this grade is facing financial stress, which could have a negative
impact on their academic performance.

As shown in the table above, the data clearly indicates that a significant portion
of students (84.21%) face difficulties in their academic performance due to financial
stress. However, only 7.89% of students disagreed with this statement, and 2.63%
strongly disagreed.
The table above reveals the concerning reality that a staggering 84.21% of
Grade 12 Euter students are struggling academically due to financial stress. This
significant percentage highlights the substantial impact that financial hardship can have
on students' educational success, potentially hindering their learning, motivation, and
overall academic performance.
