TABLE 1
TOTAL 21
DISTRIBUTION OF RESPONDENTS BY AGE 100

It can be gleaned that in terms of age, 16 year old student-respondents dominates the table with
eleven (11) or fifty-two point four percent (52.4 %) followed by 15 year old student-respondents with 5 or
23.8% and 17 year old student-respondents with 5 or 23.8% as well.
Table 2 presents the distribution of the respondents by gender.
TABLE 2
k DISTRIBUTION OF RESPONDENTS BY GENDER

RESPONDENTS FREQUENCY PERCENTAGE (%)

MALE 7 28.6
FEMALE 14 71.4
TOTAL 21 100

As shown in Table 2, there are fourteen (14) or seventy-one point four percent (71.4%) of female
student-respondents and seven (7) or twenty-eight point six percent (28.6%) male counter parts. So, it
appears that the number of female student-respondents are higher than male student-respondents.
Table 3 to 12 shows the results of each given question that our student-respondents answered.
TABLE 3
QUESTION NO.1: Do you copy the answers of your classmates?

VARIABLE FREQUENCY PRCENTAGE (%)

ALWAYS 0 0
SOMETIMES 15 71.4
OFTEN 3 14.3

This table shows that fifteen (15) or seventy-one point four percent (71.4%) of our student-
respondents said that they sometimes copy their classmates’ answers, three (3) or fourteen point three
percent (14.3%) often copies from their classmates, one (1) or for point eight percent (4.8%) said seldom,
and two (2) or nine point five percent (9.5%) said that they had never copied answers from their
classmates.
Even if some are honest with their answers, but still it shows that the majority of students in grade
10 St. Claire students of Saint Roch Academy are practicing dishonesty.

TABLE 4

VARIABLES FREQUENCY PERCENTAGE (%)

ALWAYS 7 33.3
SOMETIMES 9 42.9
OFTEN 3 14.3

NEVER 1 4.75

This table shows that nine (9) or forty-two point nine percent (42.9%) of the student-respondents
said that they sometimes feel stressed while answering their modules, seven (7) or thirty-three point three
percent (33.3%) of them said that answering their modules causes them stress always, three (3) or
fourteen point three percent (14.3%) said often, one (1) or four point seventy-five percent (4.75%) said
seldom and only one (1) or four point seventy-five percent (4.75%) of our student-respondent said that
he/she had never felt stress in answering his/her module.
It can be seen that only a few number of students doesn’t feel stressed when answering their
modules while the majority said that modules are a source of stress to them.

TABLE 5
QUESTION NO.3: Do you always finish answering all your modules in time?

VARIABLES FREQUENCY PERCENTAGE (%)

ALWAYS 8 38.1
SOMETIMES 6 28.6

SELDOM 4 19
NEVER 2 9.5

This table shows that eight (8) or thirty eight point one percent (38.1%) of the student-
respondents said that they always finish answering their modules in time, six (6) or twenty eight point six
percent (28.6%) said they finish it sometimes, one (1) or four point eight percent (4.8%) answered often,
only four (4) or nineteen percent (19) said seldom, and two (2) or nine point five percent (9.5%) said that

VARIABLES FREQUENCY PERCENTAGE (%)

ALWAYS 5 23.8
SOMETIMES 9 42.9

This table shows that nine (9) or forty-two point nine percent (42.9%) of the student-respondents
said that they sometimes use delaying tactics instead of answering their modules, five (5) or twenty-three

(19%) said “often”, while three (3) or fourteen point three percent (14%) answered “seldom” and none
said “never”.
Since the majority of them said earlier that modules causes them to feel stressed, it is expected
that in order for them to avoid answering their modules, they use delaying tactics resulting to
procrastination.

TABLE 7
QUESTION NO. 5: Do you search in the internet instead messaging your subject teacher about the topic
in your module?

VARIABLES FREQUENCY PERCENTAGE (%)

ALWAYS 12 57.1
SOMETIMES 8 38.1
OFTEN 1 4.8

This table shows that a large number of student-respondents with the frequency of twelve (12) or
fifty-seven point one percent (57.1%) said that they always use the internet as a source of information
instead of messaging their teacher(s) about the topic in their module, eight (8) or thirty-eight point one
percent of them said that they sometimes use the internet for searching about their topic while there’s only
one (1) or four point eight percent (4.8%) said that he/she often uses the internet for searching about their

said that they often figure out the activities in their module, eight (8) or thirty-eight point one percent
(38.1%) said “sometimes”, two (2) or nine point five percent (9.5%) said that they always understand the
activities easily on their module while two (2) or nine point five percent (9.5%) had a hard time
understanding the activities given to them. So, they answered “seldom”.
According to the table above, the majority of the student-respondents had difficulties
understanding the activities in their module. Only a few of them find the activities easy to understand.

TABLE 9

VARIABLES FREQUENCY PERCENTAGE (%)

ALWAYS 6 28.6
SOMETIMES 10 47.6

This table shows that ten (10) or forty-seven point six percent (47.6%) of the student-respondents
said that modular class can sometimes be draining, six (6) or twenty-eight point six percent (28.6%) said
that they always find modular class, draining. Two (2) or nine point five percent (9.5%) said “often”, one

does not seek help from their parents, seven (7) or thirty-three point three percent (33.3%) said they
sometime ask for help, two (2) or nine point five percent (9.5%) of them said “often”, one (1) or four
point eight percent answered “seldom” while only one (1) or for point eight percent (4.8%) said that
he/she always seek for help from his/her parents in understanding the module.
As we can see, the number of the students asking for help from their parents is very low. It means
that they often use the internet or ask their teachers for help in order for them to understand their modules.

twenty-eight point six percent (28.6%) answered “sometimes” while only three (3) or fourteen point three
percent (14.3%) often experience burn-out while none of them answered “ seldom and never”.

The following observations were drawn from the results of the questionnaires.
The results reveal that only a relatively small number of student-respondents was able to adjust to this
new learning set up, while the majority of them had a hard time understanding their modules. The
responses further revealed that students tend to practice procrastination, dishonesty and lack of time
management that results them to not be able to pass their modules in time. It
