RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

1. Do you think improper disposal of waste is one of the major issues that the world is facing?

This table shows disposal of waste is the one of the major issues that the world as facing. There are 38 respondents (76%) that answered

strongerly agree, 9 respondents (18%) for agree, 2 are neutral (4%), 1 are strongerly disagree (2%), while there are no answer to disgree.

In assessing the participants' sentiments, 38 (76%) of them are strongly agree that the improper disposal of waste is one of the major

issues that the world is facing.

This table shows that waste management can be still properly performed. There are 20 respondents (40%) that answered strongerly agree,

18 respondents (36%) for agree, 5 are neutral (10%), 7 for disagree (14%), while there are no answer to strongerly disagree. This table

shows that 20 out of 50 respondents strongly agree that waste management can be still properly performed.

This table represents the possibility of people being reckless consumers when it comes to environmental issues. There are 16 respondents

(32%) that answered strong agree, 17 respondents (34%) for agree, 14 respondents (28%) are neutral, then 3 people (6%) disagree, while

there are no answers to strongly disagree. In response to the question as reflected to table 3 reveals that, out of the total 50 responses,

most of them (66%) answered the options strongly agree and agree— that means it is proof that individuals can sometimes be reckless in

those situations.

This table shows that the possibility of gaining solutions that prevent problems in environment. There are 28 respondents (56%) that

answered strongerly agree, 17 respondents (34%) for agree, 3 respondents (6%) are neutral, then 2 people (4%) disagree while there are

no answers to strongly disagree. This table shows that, out of 50 respondents, 28 of them strongly agree that there may be a solution and

there are still ways in order to solve some conflicts that our nature experiencing.

This table shows how many respondents answered if they agree or disagree when it comes to a
paper shredder giving service to proper waste management. It is seen that there are 13 respondents (26%)
strongly agrees and 24 respondents (48%) agrees that a paper shredder can be helpful in performing
waste management. While there are 11 respondents (22%) are neutral with the idea, 2 respondents (4%)
disagree, and none answered with strongly disagree. Since the goal of this section is to know whether a
paper shredder is advantageous to waste management of not, it will be concluded that half of the
respondents (48%) agrees that the machine can be beneficial to help in managing the surroundings.

15. Do you think a paper shredder is an appliance that should be proposed to be able to contribute for
waste management?

This table presents that how many respondents answered if a paper shredder is proposed to the
purpose of contributing for waste management. There are 14 respondents (28%) that answered strongly
agree, 20 respondents (40%) agrees, 13 respondents (26%) are neutral with the idea, 3 respondents (6%)
disagrees, and none answered with strongly agree. It represents that most of the respondents (40%)
agrees with the thought about a paper shredder contributing for waste management— with also the fact
that it can help in dealing environmental issues.

This table shows how often does a person use an object that is made from paper or using paper in
general. 21 respondents (42%) answered very often, 20 respondents (40%) answered often, 7 respondents
(14%) answered occasionally, and there are 1 person (2%) each that answered very rarely and never. The
presentation indicates that when the percentage of very often and often are added, it will present that
majority of the respondents (82%) are under the state of being often in using objects that are made from
paper or paper overall.

This table shows how often does a person throw or dispose paper immediately every after use. It is
displayed that there are 9 respondents (18%) answered very often, 20 respondents (40%) for often, 15
respondents (30%) occasionally do what is being asked, 4 respondents (8%) do it very rarely, and 2
respondents (4%) answered never. After knowing the results, the researchers came up with the conclusion
that majority of the people are under the state of throwing paper often (40%) and occasionally (30%)—
which can give a detail that they consume and dispose paper with proper knowledge about its advantages
and disadvantages.

14. How often do you practice recycling when it comes to materials like: paper, plastic, and etc.?

This table presents how often does the respondents practice recycling when dealing with materials
like: paper, plastic, and etc. It is determined that there are 9 people (18%) answered very often, 22 people
answered often (44%), 16 for some who occasionally does it (32%), 2 people for very rarely (4%), and 1
person (2%) that never practice recycling. In conclusion, there are most people (44%) who still perform
recycling often and some (32%) occasionally does it— that can be shown that people is lacking in knowing
what are the advantages of recycling to every area of the environment.
