Job Role : Lead Engineer-Electrical (Renewables) - AC

Key Skill set:

• As Lead Engineer Electrical, the person shall be capable of Preparing, reviewing & executing
Electrical Engineering
• Activities for Renewables Projects as per the Roles assigned to him/her in the respective domain.
• She / He must have following knowledge in his/her domain.
o Strong knowledge in medium voltage and high voltage electrical equipments like,
Switchgears, transformers, cables, etc (upto 400kV) is expected.
o Strong knowledge in international standards like IEC, IEEE is expected.
o Good knowledge in understanding the international Grid code requirements and local utility
standards are expected, especially for Middle East and Africa regions.
o Knowledge in ETAP, ACAD, PSS/E is expected.
• In addition, she/ he has to coordinate with other departments including Inter-departmental checks
covering Civil/ Structural /MEP/ Instrumentation and others (as applicable).
• The Lead Engineer shall be required to provide support for the engineering activities covering the
full cycle of works from Bid start till the Bid closure.
• Knowledge in Solar power plant and its operations related to generations, inverters is expected.

Key Responsibilities:
• To be an individual/team player and coordinate with the team for the required delvery
• Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings & Documents as per Tender requirements
• Ensure deliveries are aligned to Tender RFQ requirements.
• Review drawings by Design Engineers & Draft persons & checking of design &
calculations related to equipment.
• To float enquiries and review of Vendor offer and ensure compliance to Tender requirement
• Capable of Multitasking and deliver multiple things on time.
• Estimate and Plan man-hour requirements.
• Ensure the BOQ estimated as per drawing is mostly optimised.
• Create/Review BOQ and submit to contracts team and providing technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks.
• Provide support & clarifications to the Project Execution team.
• Clarify issues w.r.to the design & requirements of the client to the Tendering Team.
• Collect inputs for project details from client & Project Engineering Manager.
• Coordinating with Tendering team and informing Design specifications/Challenges
• Check all deliverables related to his/her domain of work which are required for the project.
• Shall internally coordinated with multiple stake holders for the overall tender requirement
• Should lead Power system studies and Grid integration challenges, Grid impact studies, Power flow
studies related to renewables.
• To contribute in Value engineering and propose optimisation ideas and execute to secure jobs.
• Interaction with Client during tendering stage and sort out all required clarifications to have error
free BOQ estimation during tendering stage.
• Understanding and intrepretation of Tender RFQ requirement is mandatory.
• She / He shall lead Draft persons to manage the Engineering deliverables related to Electrical
engineering.
• Should be proactive and highlight the risk/challenges related to the project to PEM.
• Proficiency in English in mandatory.
