The bar graph depicts information about the people who ate ve portions of fruit and vegetables

per day in the UK between the time period from 2001 to 2008. The data has been calibrated in
percentage for men, women and children.

It is evident from the graph that percentage of children having fruits and vegetable has always
been consistently less as compared to that of percentage of men and women. The percentage of
women has always been maximum among the other groups. From the graph It can be interpreted
that after the year 2005 there has been a signi cant increase in the men and children population,
2006 being the year of maximum population for all the three groups. The year 2001 recorded the
least population compared to other years.

In 2001, only 12% children, 17% men and nearly 21% ate ve portion of fruits and vegetables per
day in the UK while in 2006 the gures rose to approximately 23 % children, 28% men and above
30% for women.

In a nutshell, the percentage of people increased steadily from 2001 to 2006 but saw a slight
downfall from 2006 to 2008. However, the population of children and men increased signi cantly
in 7 years while that of women, despite being the highest amongst the other groups, saw a
relative decrease in their population as we observe the graph from start to end.
