Sub:- Inter college contests on Vikshit Bharat Abhiyan @ 2047.

Madam/Sir,
This is to inform you that the Department of Students’ Welfare,
M.D.University, Rohtak is organizing Inter college competitions as mentioned
below from 12 Jan. to 20 Jan.2024 at University Campus. The rules & regulations
of each contests is given below:-
1. Debate:- (Topic for Debate:- In the opinion of the House India is
moving towards Thriving and sustainable economy.

सदन की राय म भारत संप और िटकाऊ अथ व ा की ओर बढ़ रहा है ।)

Rules:-
i. A College/Institution can send one team comprising of 2 speakers boys,
girls or both.
ii) The medium of expression will be Hindi or English. One speaker shall
speak for the motion and the other against. It must be intimated to the
Stage Secretary before the commencement of the competition.
iv) The time allotted to each participant is not less than 4 minutes and not
more than 5 minutes.
2. Topic for Declamation:- Good Governance and Security

Rules:-
i) A College/ Institution can enter only one speaker.
ii) The time allotted to a speaker is not less than 4 minutes and not more than
6 minutes.
iii) The medium of expressions is Hindi or English.
iv) Paper reading will not be allowed.
3. Topic for Quiz:- India in the World.
Rules:-
i) Each Institute can send a team of three students.
ii) The medium of the Quiz will be English only.
iii) There will be a written preliminary round for screening purpose in case
more than six turn up.
iv) Only six teams shall be selected for the final contest.
v) If there is any tie amongst the teams in the preliminary round, then decision
shall be taken through a special oral bout amongst the tied teams only.
vi). The specific rules regarding evaluation procedure, time to reply a particular
answer and the type of round will be given before the actual start of the
competition.
vii). The decision of Quiz Master will be final regarding the correctness of the
answer.
 4. Topic for Poster Making:- Empowered Indians.

Rules:-
i) Each College/Instt. can send one participant
ii) The participants will be required to do Poster Making on the subject given.
iii) Participants will bring their own material including drawing board. The
blank sheet will be signed by the Organizer/Judges before the start of
competition.
iv) Duration will not be more than 2 hours 30 minutes.

The date wise schedule of the contests is as under:-

1. Debate and Declamation Contest - 16.1.2024

2. Poster making competition & seminar - 18.1.2024
3. Quiz - 20.1.2024

All the events will be organized at faculty Development Centre MDU,

Campus. The time of registration will be at 10:00 am on the day of contest.
The contest will start at 11:00 am on the date mentioned above.

However, on the spot entry will also be accepted.
Therefore, you are requested to circulate this notice among the
students and ensure the participation in the above said contests.
Handsome prizes will be awarded to the winners.
