Today, I’m glad to stand here to be given the opportunity to deliver a farewell

speech to our beloved English teacher, Pn. Sharifah. As we all know, we ‘re
gathering here today to celebrate the retirement of Pn. Sharifah.
Being her former student for two years, I’m really upset to hear it and have already
started to miss her dearly. In my eyes, Pn. Sharifah is undoubtedly an amazing and
highly dedicated teacher. Her commitment in work makes her my role model in
embracing the future ahead of me.
From my experience with her, Pn. Sharifah is indeed a responsible and dedicated
teacher. She rarely misses her English classes, whether she’s sick or busy with
work. For instance, during the MCO, Pn. Sharifah would always start her class on
time. She also made sure everyone had participated in her lessons so that we could
catch up with what she taught. Her responsibility and patience had fostered my
proficiency in English.
Pn. Sharifah is also a soft- hearted, joyful and positive- minded person. Her class
is always full of joy and laughter. She always shares jokes, experiences and moral
values with us in order to shape us to become a better student. Being a student of
Pn. Sharifah is a blessing indeed. She treats us more like her friends than her
students.
My classmates and I can’t deny the fact that learning with Pn. Sharifah is always
full of happiness. Her sweetest smile on her face drives me and my friends to work
hard to achieve excellent results. “It’s your attitude, not your aptitude that will
determine your altitude.” Is the principle which Pn. Sharifah always holds and
reminds us. It’s a heaven- opportunity to become one of your students, Pn.
Sharifah. The lessons, the nostalgia and the knowledge that you shared with us are
still vivid in my memories until I couldn’t wave them away from my mind. We’ll
cherish all the memorable moments we spent with you!
There’re countless admirable traits about Pn. Sharifah. She’s not merely playing a
teacher’s role, in fact she also acts as a mother and a great consoler. She constantly
encourages my friends and I to chase after our dreams and to lead a meaningful
life. Though we’re no longer your students this year, we would like to show our
deepest gratitude from the bottom of our heart for everything you had done for us.
To end my speech, I would like to grab this golden opportunity to wish you,
‘Have a blessed retirement Pn. Sharifah and enjoy your life to the fullest because
life is always wonderful and exciting to be explored’
