AGAINST CYCLONE STORM (BIPARJOY OVER EAST CENTRAL ARABIAN

MISSIONER OFFICE HUSSAIN BUX MARI
The meeting started with the recitation of Holy Quran. After introduction of the partici-
pants the chair briefed about aims and objectives of the meeting. At the outset, the chair
informed that severe cyclone (BIPARJOY) which is in offing and is likely affect Taluka
Hussain BUX Mari. In this regard the meeting has been called so that necessary arrange -
ments may be made to cope with the untoward situations.

AVAILABILITY OF RELEIF MATERIAL

The chair inquired MUKHTIARKAR regarding availability of relief material. Following

items are required on urgent basis as demanded by Mukhtiarkar.

ARRANGEMENTS OF THE MACHINERY

The chair directed the administrator Town Committee Hussain Bux Mari to ensure ma-
chinery for the de-watering of rain water from disposal points.

DESILTING OF MAIN DRAIN

The chair further directed the Assistant Executive Engineer LBOD Mirpurkhas to de-
pute staff for de silting of Mirpurkhas Main Drain and all sub drains. Undersigned had
personally visited MMD .

REMOVAL OF SIGN BOARDS / BILL BOARD

The chair instructed administrator Town Committee Hussain Bux Mari to immediately
remove all the sign Boards / Bill Boards from Taluka Hussain Bux Mari.
SUPPORT OF POLICE FORCE

The Deputy Superintendent of police was requested to provide police force in case of
emergency and shifting of the people to relief camps.

MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRIC POLLS AND ELECTRIC WIRES

The Chair directed sub-Divisional Officer HESCO to immediately maintain electric polls
and hanging wires in the city so that people may be safeguarded from electric shocks
during the cyclonic winds

ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIEF CAMPS

The Mukhtiarkar Hussain Bux Mari and Taluka Education Officer were directed to es-
tablish relief camps and ensure that the facilities of drinking water, toilet and electricity
are available.Following is the list of relief camps.

AVAILABILITY OF AMBULANCE AND MEDICINES

The medical Superintendent DHQ and Incharge of Rural Health Centers and BHUs were
instructed to ensure the availability of mobile ambulance and first aid medicines and
also provide a medical officer in the relief camps.

AVAILABILITY OF DRINKING WATER

The Assistant Executive Engineer was directed to ensure that the adequate storage of
water so that shortage of water may be avoided in the emergency situation.

TEMPORARY STOPPAGE OF WATER IN CANALS

The Assistant Executive Engineer Irrigation was directed to stop the supply of water in
canals for time being during cyclonic period so that inundation may be avoided.

ESTABLISHMENT OF CONTROL ROOM

The Mukhtiarkar Hussain Bux Mari and Administrator Town Committee Hussain Bux
Mari were directed to establish a control room and both were nominated focal person
during the emergency.

REMOVAL OF FALLING TREES

The Chair directed Assistant Executive Engineer Provincial Highway and District High-
way authorities to be vigilant during the cyclone and immediately remove the trees or
anything else which has been fallen beside roads.

SHIFTING OF ANIMALS

The veterinary Officer of Taluka Hussain Bux Mari was directed to ensure that the do-
mestic animals can be shifted to a safe area during the cyclone. The meeting was con-
cluded with a vote of thanks to and from the chair.
