How I Use Advanced Market Structure

A Thread
Hello all I have decided to write this short thread going
over advanced market structure and how I use it for
SL placement

It is something I found difficult to grasp was starting off

trading so I will describe it as easily and digestible as
possible!

Firstly I will go over the anatomy of advanced market

structure followed by how I use it into my own trading

Let’s get started!

STH & STL

Short Term High (STH) is a swing high

Short Term Low (STL) is a swing low

Which is pretty straight forward!

ITH & ITL

Intermediate Term High (ITH) is a swing high with 2

lower swing highs on both sides

Intermediate Term Low (ITL) is a swing low with 2

higher lows on both sides
LTH & LTL

Long Term High (LTH) is a swing high with an ITH on

both sides

Long Term Low (LTL) is a swing low with an ITH on

both sides

Long term highs generally form after tapping into a

HTF PD array
Here is an annotated example with all labelled for
reference!
How I use advanced ms

In a MMSM if I entered at a LRS I would place my stop

above the LTH

If I entered at the second leg of a MMSM I would place

my stop above the ITH

If truly bearish price should not violate ITH until the

target is met
In a MMBM if I entered at a LRS I would place my stop
below the LTL

If I entered at the second leg of a MMBM I would place

my stop below the ITL

If truly bullish price should not violate the ITL until the
target is met
Just to recap what I personally do is,

LRB/LRS I put my stop above/ below LTH/ LTL

Any other entry such as second leg ect I would put my

stop above / below ITH / ITL if applicable

Example

Short position with stop loss above ITH

Example

Long trade with stop below ITL

I hope you all enjoyed this thread, as always any
questions you may have let me know

Take care and God bless!
