2. I profoundly present this letter to share my deep contemplation on the historic

Battle of Tirad Pass and General Gregorio Del Pilar's extraordinary gallantry.
As a plebe at the prestigious Philippine Military Academy, I am tremendously
moved by General Del Pilar and the Filipino soldiers' heroism and sacrifice in
the face of overwhelming odds. I feel that the memory of their bravery teaches
valuable lessons to all cadets and future defenders of our country.

3. General Gregorio Del Pilar's leadership and unflinching dedication to the cause
of the Philippine Revolution are enduring examples of selfless service and
unshakable commitment to our country's defense. The Battle of Tirad route is
a tribute to the Filipino forces' tenacity and perseverance in defending the
mountain route against superior American troops.

4. In the face of overwhelming odds, General Del Pilar demonstrated the real
essence of a military commander, demonstrating strategic brilliance,
unshakable fortitude, and an indomitable spirit. Regardless of the outcome, his
valiant stand at Tirad Pass exemplified the pinnacle of sacrifice and patriotism,
inspiring future generations of our country's defenders.

5. As an individual and a cadet completing rigorous training at the Philippine

Military Academy, I am determined to emulate the excellent values
demonstrated by General Del Pilar and the valiant men who fought beside him.
The lessons learned at the Battle of Tirad Pass serve as a constant reminder
of our forefathers' sacrifices in the quest of liberty, honor, and national
sovereignty.

6. I am certain that the heroism and sacrifice demonstrated at Tirad Pass serve
as essential foundations of our military culture, teaching in us the ideals of
selflessness, fortitude, and commitment to our country's causes. The brave
legacy of General Gregorio Del Pilar continues to inspire us as we seek to be
worthy defenders of our dear nation.

7. I humbly request guidance on incorporating the timeless lessons from the Battle
of Tirad Pass into my ongoing training and development as a future leader and
protector of the Philippines.
