The Advanced
SureStep Methodology

At Quantum Omega, we have taken a close look at various project management methodologies and enhanced
it with ways to make it more cost-efficient and responsive while still complying with FastTrack and the original
SureStep. We call this method: “The Advanced SureStep Methodology by Quantum Omega”.

The Advanced SureStep methodology is gaining popularity and acceptance. It combines the best of Agile, Sure-
Step, FastTrack, and the work breakdown structure (Waterfall) to create a new project management method that
fits the majority of projects. The beauty of the Advanced SureStep methodology is that it not only lets the team
plan before starting to work on the project, but also divides the development cycle into short-term deliveries
called sprints.

Our methodology combines the benefits of Microsoft SureStep and FastTrack implementation methodologies to
consistently align requirements with expectations throughout the “Implement” phase, which could be quite dif-
ferent. The secret lies in our Data Migration, Workshops, and Training framework, which form the backbone of our
Implementation method.

Time and again, we have seen increased positive feedback from many angles, reporting that Quantum Omega’s
Advanced SureStep Methodology is able to detect potential issues, new insights, and new requirements at an
early stage, all thanks to its iterative “fully operational” nature and interactive training and testing workshops

1. How Quantum Omega’s Data Migration Expertise
& Advanced Hybrid Implementation Method led to
the Successful Implementation of Dynamics 365 for a
global company in the Pharmaceutical Industry

Project Overview
A leading pioneer in the pharmaceutical, biotech & medical device in-
dustry ran an implementation project for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for
its companies globally, starting with Germany and Spain. However,
the original go-live of the first country roll-out was in danger
because of a serious delay in the data migration process. In Q4 of
2022, the company asked Quantum Omega to take over the Data
Migration Stream for its first country rollout, planned to go-live in a
few months, as well as the project implementation for the roll-out in
Spain.

Data Migration and BI-Reporting Challenges

When Quantum Omega entered the project, the Data Migration
implementation process was already 75% complete, while the
BI-reporting stream was at most 5% complete. This was concerning,
considering we only had a few months remaining before go-live. So,
how did we manage to overcome these challenges and achieve our
common goals?

Project Implementation Method

Although the Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O Implementation for the
Spanish roll-out was challenged by frequent obstacles due to exter-
nal causes, just as with the German Implementation, we overcame
these challenges thanks to our approach and expertise.

Our Approach and Expertise
Data Migration: One of our greatest strengths lies in our extensive
data migration expertise and knowledge. We have a team of indus-
try experts with whom we have created an efficient data migration
template, program code, and procedures. This enables us to conduct
data migration for our clients efficiently and at a quality level that is
unique in our industry.

BI-Reporting: When our customer decide to use Microsoft Dynamics

Embedded Power-BI, experts for both technologies are needed,
which are hard to come by. But because we always strive to contin-
uously extend our consultants’ in-depth experience and knowledge
base, we were able to easily help our customer scale-up to reach
their reporting goals.

The Advanced Hybrid Implementation Method ©: Our project method

is conceptualized in a way that enables us to combine many steps
into one workshop, from day one to go-live. This project method (an
integration of Microsoft Surestep, Fasttrack, Agile, and Waterfall) is
divided into 5 phases - just like Surestep, but with a minor, powerful
difference. Still compliant with Microsoft Fast-Track, our method has
an edge over many other methods, and as a result, often cuts imple-
mentation time in half.

2. Quantum Omega’s D365 Implementation for

Superbet
Superbet, a major European player in the online gaming industry with
head office in Eastern Europe, expanded its activities to countries in
Western Europe and the United States.

With this expansion underway, Superbet began looking for a Micro-

soft Partner to support it to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 in
countries like Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, and Curaçao.

Quantum Omega, with its expertise and localizations in the afore-

mentioned countries, stood out positively among the competition,
and was selected to be the Microsoft Dynamics implementation
partner.

In addition to all the required localizations, Quantum Omega’s Ad-

vanced Sales Tax Framework (ASX) also included additional function-
alities that simplified and streamlined rapid configuration and setup.
