SCHOOLS REPORT

A Briefer……
Problem Status
The recent data of the district revealed that there are about 185
learners considered under the full refresher level covering the 11 schools of the
district .The data were generated utilizing the results from the PHIL-IRI conducted
and the ALNAT.

BROAD PROBLEM STATEMENT:


The school year 2023-2024 poses a tremendous challenge to all schools of
Bula District since the latter still feel the effect brought about by the pandemic.
The presence of learners falling under the category of full refresher
FOCUS PROBLEM STATEMENT
The data reflecting in the numeracy and literacy interventions of the 11
schools of the district echo the need to strengthen the implementation of PPAs
that will help in the reduction of the number of full refresher learners and the
eventual approach to zero in the number of these learners under the deficient or
full refresher level.
PPAs Initiated
Specifically, the districts having a noted 185 learners under the full
refresher level have initiated the hereto projects:1.Project BLINK: Breaking Literacy
and Numeracy Gaps for Key Stage 1 to 3,( Sto.Nino IS) :Project 5P's - Pagpapaunlad ng
Pagkatuto sa Pagbasa, Pag-unawa at Pagbilang Project GINA: Gearing towards different Intervention
for Students' Reading Achievement,(Caorasan HS) Project SMART: Synchronous Math And
Reading Time(Fabrica HS) Project PISA: Every Palsongian IS A Reader (Palsong HS), Project
PRIDE Partnership Reading Intervention in Diverse Education (San Ramon NHS), Project BRAND
C: Bridging Reading And Numeracy Deficiency Through Stakeholders Collaboration(Ombao NHS)

RESULTS OF THE INITIATED PROGRAM


With the initiated activities of Bula district covering 11 schools notably,
the district was able to increase the number of learners reaching the independent
level for literacy and the emerging level for numeracy
The learning assessment for each learning area as highlighted in the
accomplishment report of the district, revealed a surprising result evident in the
data highlighted in the summary of learning assessment of the district. Specifically
Bula District was able to demonstrate increasing performance on the
following .English __, Math__Fil___,Science___,AP__,

Utilization, Dissemination and Sustainability of the PPAs initiated.


The overwhelming effects of the programs , projects and
activities conducted with the aim of increasing the number of independent
learners both in literacy and numeracy in the 11 schools of Bula District
necessitate for its continuous implementation in an anticipation of the influx of
full refresher learners in the succeeding years. Data generated from the
implementation of the project will become its utmost bases for its furtherance
banking on the positive results the projects yielded among the reading
performances of learners.

Sustainability Plan
With the positive results yielded in the implementation of Bula district
literacy and numeracy project, programs and activities the hereto plan is laid out:
1. Continuously consider the result of all interventions as bases for replicating,
crafting and continuance of the projects.
2. Conduct assessment, reassessment of current situations of learners through
the use of standardized assessment tools such as but not limited to PHIL-IRI,
ALNAT, Teacher-Made reading assessments and others.
3. Continuously capacitate teachers particularly those handling reading and
numeracy program.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders for support in the implementation of PPAs
that uplift the status of the reading performance of the learners.
Acknowledgement
The success of the implementation of the PPAs intended to
improve the literacy and numeracy of learners is credited to those who have
conceptualized, approved, and implemented the projects. The 11 school heads of
Bula district the formidable team of the district teaching force, the strong
advocates of improving literacy and numeracy among the stakeholders of Bula
and most importantly the center of all these efforts our LEARNERS .
