1. PURPOSE/SCOPE
The formal Pulse Build Letter communicates the Pulse Requirements to each
Supplier included in the Pulse Process

2. INSTRUCTIONS
2.1. CUSTOMIZE THE LETTER
Customize the Pulse Letter template on the following pages to suit your Pulse Order
Process.
(1) Replace and reformat all text highlighted in yellow
(2) Complete the Order Number Table; fill in the Part Number, Quantity Requested,
and Requested Date for all parts included in the Pulse Process.
(3) Complete the Requirements Table; provide Specific Pulse Requirements
(typically outlined Pulse Plan Requirements)
(4) Copy and Paste the completed letter template into a new Word document
(5) Send the letter to your Supplier.

Pulse Order Process

Dear Supplier,

Your organization was selected as a supplier to Polaris of critical components for one of our
new product introductions. To ensure that the launch of this new product line is successful, we
are requiring you to complete a Pulse Order to identify any potential manufacturing issues that
would adversely impact our product launch schedule.

The procedural requirements can be found in Section 4.8 of the Supplier Quality Manual
located on the Polaris website:

Section 4.8 - Pulse Build

The parts produced for the Pulse Order must be representative of your long-term planned
production process. Any deviations from the planned production process must be
communicated to Polaris and agreed upon in writing. If not yet approved, you may also use this
as an opportunity to do your PPAP submittal based off the Pulse Build quantity.
