Peringatan:

1. Segala pilihan tempat/syarikat adalah keputusan pelajar. Maka,


pelajar perlu bertanggungjawab atas segala keputusan yang dibuat.

1. Termination due to misconduct: Markah Penilaian supervisor akan


dikira berdasarkan penilaian majikan pertama (termination) dan
majikan ke 2 (baharu). Worst case scenario >> fail & repeat.

1. Segala kebenaran dan permohonan segala cuti, cuti raya, mc dan


+ve covid semasa latihan industri perlu dimaklumkan kepada
supervisor/majikan. Segala keputusan cuti adalah tertakluk kepada
budi bicara majikan.
Peringatan:

1. Pelajar hanya dibenarkan untuk tukar tempat latihan industri pada


1 bulan pertama SAHAJA (kecuali kes-kes tertentu) semasa
menjalankan latihan industri dengan alasan yang munasabah sahaja
iaitu disebabkan:

► Pastikan:
1. Maklumat supervisor di dalam STIS adalah yang terkini dan
betul. Jika SALAH, mohon hubungi Unit LI untuk
pengemaskinian maklumat di STIS.
2. Supervisor membuat penilaian sebelum berakhirnya pelajar
menjalankan latihan industri (untuk mengelakkan masalah
lain yang akan berlaku).
3. Pelajar memberi peringatan mesra kepada supervisor untuk

about the company and industry.
► Observation of organization's Strength, Weakness,
Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT).
► Why SWOT? One the most used basic analysis and
monitoring tools for studying an organization's macro-
environment.
► Apply various business and management knowledge
learned throughout study years: strategic management,
human resource, organizational behaviour, marketing,
economics, finance, and operation management.
► Practice skills in observing, analysing, critical thinking, and
problem solving using practical and creative methods.

PART 5 : CONTENT OF REPORT
SWOT Analysis
Based on your observation and experience at the workplace, illustrate a SWOT
Analysis diagram that summarize the host organization’s Strength, Weakness, Threat,
and Opportunity. Please identify two (2) observations for each SWOT element.

You may review PESTEL element: political, economy, social, technology,


environmental and legal; or any other areas that are prone to issues/problems, for
examples:

►Human Resources: training & development, performance management, talent retention.


►Marketing & Communication: marketing trends, brand image, adapting to innovation and technology.
►Event Management: risk and crisis management, virtual event, budgeting & sponsorship.
►Economics: demand and supply, effect of Covid 19.
►Office Management: office procedures & policies, adapting to technology.
►And any other areas/issues observed in the organization.

Option for FIN, ECO, ISB

Based on secondary data derived from annual report or


any other online data resources, conduct a company or
industry analysis.

You may investigate the following areas: economic


growth, trend analysis, or any other areas/issues that
can be discussed using the data obtained.

You may use regression analysis only when and if


necessary. If there are any other
ways/techniques/tools that is less complex, please
consider using that method.

Option for OPM
Based on observation and secondary data derived from any resources, conduct a
company analysis.

You may investigate the following areas: operations management, production


planning & control, quality & supply chain management, or any other areas in
operations deemed suitable.

You may use Total Quality Management Tools (Check Sheets/ Scatter Diagrams/
Cause-and-Effect Diagrams/ Pareto Charts/ Flowcharts or Histograms) to make an
analysis only when and if necessary. If there are any other ways/techniques/tools
that is less complex, please consider using that method.
PART 6: CONTENT OF REPORT
Discussion & Recommendation
STRENGTH: Explain and elaborate the strength. How do you observe this in the company? How does it
impact the business? Recommend how can the organization sustain or expand this strength?

WEAKNESS: Explain and elaborate the weakness. How do you observe this in the company? How does it
impact the business? Recommend what the organization need to do to overcome this weakness or lessen it
impacts?

OPPORTUNITY: Explain and elaborate the opportunity. How do you observe this in the company? How does
it impact the business? Recommend how can the organization take advantage of this opportunity? What
potential outcome can the company gain?

THREAT: Explain and elaborate the threat. How do you observe this in the company? How does it impact
the business? Recommend what can the company do to deal with this threat? Should they avoid it? How can
they lessen the impact? Or should they retain it and accept full responsibility? Or can they eliminate the
threat by transferring it to a third party?
CONTENT OF REPORT (PART 7-9)
Part 7: Summarize the essence of the report.
Conclusion

Part 8: Provide at least 10 recent academic citations. The citation MUST


References be five years recent. List of references using APA Style.

Evidence of the student's involvement and contribution during the


training, which may include photographs, certificates, a sample of
Part 9: the student's work, office practices, website and social media

screenshots, and any other non-private and non-confidential
material.
GENERAL FORMATTING
► Overall Look: use your creativity and digital skills to produce a typical
professional report that is visually appealing and pleasant to read.
► Cover Page: include name, student id, program, host organization, and
faculty’s logo.
► Table of Content & Labelling: appropriately label all pages, figures,
table, and appendices include in the report.
► Font Formatting: use appropriate font type and size (11-12). You can be
creative but make sure it is easy to read & professionally presentable
too.
► Paragraph Formatting: pay attention to text alignment, line spacing,
indents, bullets, numbering, borders, and other paragraph enhancements
features. Make sure formatting is consistent throughout the document.
► Page Formatting: A4 size, vertical, page number, header & footer
(optional).
► Number of Pages: Minimum 20, excluding preliminary pages, references,
and appendices.
SUBMISSION

A complete submission must include:


► The main report.
► Internship logbook.

Submit them through the medium


agreed by students and advisors.
PRESENTATION
✔ Present your report to faculty advisor & 2nd examiner.
✔ Presentation duration is 15-20 minutes including Q&A.
✔ Use creative methods, infographic is highly recommended.
