A. Brief History of Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan Perwakilan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan
In line with the development of Indonesian history, BPK RI also experienced various
developments. Approximately 30 years after the high state institution called the Supreme
Audit Agency and known by the abbreviation Bepeka moved from Yogyakarta to Bogor and
then to Jakarta, BPK RI has only had one Bepeka representative, which became known as the
Region II Bepeka Representative in Yogyakarta. Then, at the age of 34, Bepeka began to
spread its wings to keep up with demands for improving the quality of examination results.
Considering the increasing increase in the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget from year
to year as well as the increasing responsibility for inspection duties, in 1981 the Bepeka
Region III Representative was formed based on Bepeka Chairman Decree No. 04/SK/K/1981
concerning BPK Representatives in Ujung Pandang and Decree of the Chairman of Bepeka
No. 80/SK/K/1982 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the Secretariat
General of the Supreme Audit Agency. The Bepeka Region III Representative Office in
Ujung Pandang was inaugurated on May 27 1981.

During its development, Bepeka Region III in Ujung Pandang underwent several
name changes. The first name change was to become Representative VII of the BPK RI in
Makassar based on the Decree of the Chairman of the BPK RI Number 12/SK/I-VII.3/7/2004
concerning the Organization and Implementing Work Procedures of the BPK RI.
Furthermore, there was another change to become BPK RI Representative in Makassar based
on Decree of the Chairman of BPK RI Number 02/SK/I-VII.3/1/2006 as the fourth
amendment to Decree of BPK RI Number 12/SK/I-VII.3/7/2004 concerning the Organization
and Implementing Work Procedures of BPK RI. Furthermore, based on the Decree of the
Chairman of BPK RI Number 06/K/I-XIII.2/10/2008 concerning the Name of the BPK RI

In the internship process so far, students majoring in English language and
literature from UINAM. During internship the student had a routine at the internship
location. Every week they only come Monday-Friday from 08.00 to 16.30, which is
usually 12 to 13. Afternoon is the time for prayer and eating breaks. During
internship at the Republic of Indonesia Financial Audit Agency, South Sulawesi
Representative, the student was placed in 3 different rooms. The five places were the
SDM Department, the PIK (Information and Communication Center)/Library Section,
general subsection and a childcare center.
a. SDM Department
In the SDM department, the employees in the room teach how to archive
several old documents and then combine them into one file, teach how to scan
documents, and organize TOEFL certificates for employees who have taken the
TOEFL test in the office where they must be grouped according to their starting
TOEFL score from those who passed and those who did not pass and starting
from a score below 400 to a score above 400.
b. PIK and Library Section
At PIK and the Library there is a room for employees to read and do work and
a room for those who want to know some information related to the office of the
Republic of Indonesia Financial Audit Agency, Representative of South Sulawesi
Province because this room is called the Information and Communication Center.
In this room there are various kinds of books and a place to do things related to
work and this room is also usually used as a place to welcome guests and the
public. While in this room during the internship, work is usually done such as
entering books, paying attention to users if someone visits to fill in the guest book
that has been provided and making routine news clippings every day must be
done where all news from newspapers related to the budget must be input every
day, both from Koran Sindo, Harian Fajar, Ujung Pandang Express and Tribune
12
Timur must be input every day and then made into one file every Friday and
becomes a weekly news clipping.

c. General Subsection
The general subsection is a subsection that facilitates an office that can
advance a company. So, the problems commonly experienced by this general
subsection can be resolved by fixing problems that can interfere with employee
performance at work. and if the problem cannot be resolved by the general
subsection, the general subsection can call for help from an expert or someone
who can resolve the problem. and as a student, the task that can be done is only to
help with small things that can have a big impact.
d. Legal Subdivision
The Legal Subdivision has the task of carrying out the provision of services in
the legal field which includes legislation, consultation, assistance, and legal
information related to the duties and functions of the BPK Representative of
South Sulawesi Province.
13
In the place where I was placed, the main activity that I did was uploading
regional and regent regulations on the BPK's JDIH regulatory database website.
This is an activity that I must do every month. Here I learned to do it carefully and
on time.
Update abstracts of Regional Regulations that have not been validated on the
Peraturanbpk.go.id website.

e. Childcare Section
The childcare center which is managed by the SDM department is a place
where children are looked after while their parents are busy working. In this room
the children play and study until their parents come to pick them up. In this room
the interns teach them how to count, guess pictures, recognize ABCD, recognize
the names of vehicles, guess body parts, guess animal names, and guess colors in
English.
In this section we share tasks, where Sulfan oversees teaching children how
to guess animals, even he becomes the role of an animal so that children can guess
it in English. Then, Nur Alfi oversees preparing materials that will be taught to
children in each meeting and teaching. Finally, Meliana oversees teaching and
providing ice-breaker games by singing in English.

additional activities that are not programmed, including:

c. Searching a news about BPK on internet
d. Making routine news clippings every day
e. Archive several old documents and then combine them into one file
f. Conducting Trial Monitoring at the Makassar District Court.
g. Organize TOEFL certificates for employees

C. Problems Faced
There are some problems that we face. In daycares, the children there usually have
difficulty learning because they want to play, not study and they get bored quickly. So, the
problems when teaching, where children are difficult to manage because they are on average 2-7
years old. Furthermore, in the PIK section and library section, here the problem faced is that
many books are missing. In the general section, the problems encountered are related to the
internet network which is often interrupted so that it hampers some work.

D. Solution Taken
In the world of internships, there is something that makes us look for solutions to every
problem that exists in that place. These solutions appear in our own minds, whether they are
solutions that we think of ourselves or solutions that we discuss with one of the guards/teachers
at the place. Especially in day care where the children there have great difficulty learning.
However, we invite them to play while learning or sing while in the learning process so that the
children will feel happy singing and playing games so that they don't get bored quickly. In a
library, the internship site should recruit one employee so that the library is neat and tidy.

15
CHAPTER 4
CLOSING
A. Conclusion
In carrying out this internship the authors gain a lot of knowledge real in applying the
knowledge gained in college, so that it can practiced optimally and optimally when carrying
out an internship. Besides that, Internship is a means for students to get to know the real
world of work and at the same time get to know the environment and working conditions that
will be faced by students after graduating from college.

Based on the description in the Internship Report, it can be concluded that in the
world of work, high responsibility, thoroughness, and patience are required all work done
and discipline in following work regulations and time discipline is our responsibility so that
the tasks given can be completed properly and on time.

B. Suggestion
For every student, especially students of English language and literature. Before
entering the world of apprenticeship, you must really prepare well to carry out the 60-day
internship process. You also must be patient, strong and disciplined in carrying out your
duties during your internship because that's all you can do if you want to survive for 60 days
appreciated it there.
Final words of the report we wrote, there are still many shortcomings in the
preparation of the report. Therefore, as writers, readers are given the opportunity to provide
any suggestions and criticisms that will make the next writing report more perfect.
