Performance Objective: Given the materials, tools, and equipment, you are
required to prepare organic concoctions and extracts.

Steps/Procedure:
Trainees will be divided into eight (8) groups. Each group will prepare one
organic concoction or extract and follow the steps below.
1. Always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the task.
2. Prepare all needed tools, materials, and equipment needed for their
assigned task. Refer to Information Sheet 4.1-3.
3. Gather or bring other resources needed like plant parts and fruits.
4. Follow the proper procedure in preparing the organic concoction or

5. Store finished products in a cool, dark, dry place.
6. Apply the Principle of 5S:
✓ Clean, sanitize, and secure work and storage areas before and
after the task.
✓ Clean and free raw materials used from synthetic chemicals
after the task.
✓ Clean tools, materials, and equipment used and free from
contamination and return them to proper storage.

7. Observe personal hygiene according to OHS procedures.
