Wifi Configuration

• The WiFi network is


divided into 2 SSIDs, and
the names of the SSIDs are
as follows:
1. MRI-Office
2. MRI-Guest
MRI-Office

• First, please click and select the Wi-Fi


icon on your laptop until the list of
available Wi-Fi options appears
• Next, click on MRI Office and enter the
Wi-Fi password, which is:
MRIOffice2023. (Enter the letters M 1
through the period ".")
• Once done, the Wi-Fi will be connected.

• First, please click and select the Wi-Fi icon on


your laptop until the list of available Wi-Fi
options appears.
• Next, click on MRI Guest and enter the Wi-Fi 1
password, which is: TamuMRI2023@ (Enter
the letters T through the "@" symbol.)
• Once done, the Wi-Fi will be connected.
Printer Configuration

• First, please click the Windows button,


and search for 'Printers & Scanners.’
• Next Click , “Add Device”.
• Wait until you see the message 'The
printer that I want isn't listed,' and then
click 'Add Manually’.

• Then a new pop-up will appear, choose 'Add a
Printer Using an IP address or hostname,' then
click Next.
• Please enter the IP address as shown in the
adjacent image: 172.18.51.231
• Next, click Next and wait for the process to
complete.

• To perform scanning with the same
printer, please download the shared
application from the IT Folder
named 'iPrintScan-Setup-
11_0_2_3.’
• Install the software, and once it's
installed, enter the same printer IP,
which is: 172.18.51.231. Click

VPN CONFIGURATION
 Next, we will configure the VPN.
 This VPN configuration aims to secure the data on SharePoint, ensuring that only MRI
employees can access it.
 The VPN is utilized when employees are outside the MRI office and not connected to the MRI
office network.
 To access the SharePoint, a VPN connection is necessary.

 First, please click on the
FortiClient VPN icon on your
laptop desktop.
 Then, click 'Add a new
connection' until an image
appears as shown.

 Next, please enter the data as
shown on the side.
 Click ‘Save’.

Please Click ‘SAML Login’.

You will then be directed to the
Microsoft Edge page as shown.

Click ‘Next’.

*Ensure that Microsoft Edge is set


as the default browser on your
laptop.

• You will be directed to the following page, click 'Skip Setup.'

• Wait until the FortiClient VPN is
successfully connected, as shown in
the image.
• Once connected, it means you have
successfully accessed the SharePoint
Folder connection and can access it
outside the office.

Sharing Calendar
• First, please open your
Outlook Application.
• Then, click on the calendar
icon in the menu located at
the top left or at the bottom
left.
• Next, a calendar page will
open, as shown in the
adjacent image.

• Then click on the share calendar logo located in the


home menu.
• Next, choose the calendar.

• Make sure that the selected address book is
"global address list.“
• Double-click on the name of each employee
you want to share the calendar schedule
with.
• Then click OK.

• Wait until the system reads all the shared
calendar data for each employee until it
appears as shown in the image next to it.

• Then, there will be emails


sent to the recipients of
the calendar sharing, and
please promptly click the
accept button, so that the
calendar sharing is
successfully completed.
Teams
Meeting
• The process is the same as
creating a calendar, but the Click
difference is that, to schedule
a Teams meeting, you need
to click on the "Teams
Meeting" logo/icon (make
sure you are already in the
calendar interface).

• Then, a display like the
image beside will appear.
• Please enter the desired
title.
• Then, enter the email
addresses of the participants
who will join the Teams
meeting in the 'Required'
section (mandatory
participants).
• If there are optional
participants, please input
their details in the 'Optional'
section.
• Next, specify the desired
time and date.
• Once completed, click
'Send,' and the invitation
will be sent to the
respective email addresses.
• In this section, we will learn about the
functions available within the Teams
Teams Operation application, which we use on a daily basis
for work.

• In the Teams application, there is a group (Channel) that
has been created and grouped for each department.
• As an example, there are 4 channels with their
respective sub-channels, as shown in the example
beside.

• Purchase Request
• To submit operational procurement
requests, there is an application within
Teams called Approvals. Please install
this application first, as shown in the
image beside.

• After installing Approvals, please right-click on the
Approval application, then click 'Pin' to keep it on
the left menu.

• Then, if you want to submit a purchase request, please do so in the
group (channel) menu by creating a new post, but by clicking the ' + '
sign.

• If you have selected the template form to
be used, please fill in the required data on
the form and then click 'send.’
• The request will be sent to the approvers,
starting from the first one to the last.

• To view the status of the purchase request, please click on 'Approvals' in the left menu, and select 'Sent.’
• You will see the status of the purchase request.

• If the status has been


approved, you can save it
as a PDF by clicking the
'Save as PDF' button.

purchase request by clicking
the 'Follow Up' button or
alternatively, cancel the
purchase request.
