organization. In addition, I would also like to thank my

 Executive Summary

The primary objective of my internship was to

gain practical knowledge and experience, develop
professional skills and understand the inner working of
reputable organization.

This internship report is based on work

experience I have congregated as an intern in Orion
School of Learning Booni during nine weeks. In this
report I have provided details about my nine weeks
work experience in OSL Booni where I was appointed as
English teacher for class 7th and 8th. I have also added
my experience as a project manager of state Banks
financial literacy program for youth in Chitral.

The report deals with five chapters first chapter

include introduction and objectives. Second chapter
deals with structure of Organization its employees,
department and main office. Third chapter is about plan
of internship program .In chapter four I have discussed
training program and activities performed by the
organization in detail. Chapter five is all about the
description of tasks assigned to me during the
internship.

 Orion School of Learning Booni is one of the
famous institutions of Upper Chitral. In this report a list
of their staff has also been included. I have discussed
about duties which have been assigned to me during
this internship. I have learned to work in a corporate
space which not only enriched me professionally also
help me grow personally. In this report, I have
summarized my overall experience with my learning and
challenges faced by me as an intern.

Although organizations management is working

up to the mark however students communication skills
need some focus that must be acknowledged by the
organization.

 1ꓸ INTRODUCTION

a ꓸ Background of the Organization

Orion school of learning Booni is one of the best
English Medium School of Upper Chitral located near
Polo ground Booni. It was founded around 1990 by a
group of jammat−e−Islami members by the name of
Tarichmar. Later in 1998 name of the organization
changed from Terichmar to Seena Model School and
later in 2005 it was changed to Orion school of Learning
Booni. At that time OSL Booni was the 2nd English
medium school of District from grade 1 to matric. Mr.
Sadr−u−ddin was the first principal of OSL Booni. And
now Fatkhul Islam is running this institution.

bꓸ Purpose of the Internship

This internship was introduced by Women
University Mardan for Associate Degree students to
enhance their working abilities and make them able to
step in professional world. It helped me a lot to gain
experience and to choose specific field in future. The
purpose of internship is to know Student abilities and
shortcomings. Intern acquires more knowledge of
teaching and values related with efficient performance
of their job. Internship provided exposure to real world.

 It helps me to learn how to use the knowledge I
have acquired during the internship. In addition it is the
best way of learning for students while meeting new
people and making connection in professional world.

The data used in this study are collected from
the primary and secondary sources.

cꓸMain office
The main office of Orion School of Learning
Booni is the principal office ꓸ All important decisions and
meeting of the School takes place in the principal office.
The principal guides all the employees of the
Organization ꓸ The principal office of Orion School Of
Learning Booni is located in the main block ꓸ The
principal office has all the contestable and important
document as a record ꓸ Meetings of the organization
takes place in the principal office.

Basically main office is like a headquarter where

all the important decisions are being made like syllabus ,
finalizing the date sheet and giving holidays etc these
decisions are made here by the mutual discussion with
the teachers.

dꓸ Introduction of Department
There are two departments in Orion School Of
Learning Booni Arts Department and Science
Department ꓸ

 Arts Department ꓽ
Arts Department was established in 1990 there are
two classes included in this department class 9th arts
and class 10th arts ꓸ Arts Department is managed by
MsꓸAbida ꓸ There are many teachers who work in this
Department and teach different subjects ꓸ Subjects of
art department include General science, Islamic studies,
civics, Maths , English and Urdu. Arts department has a
responsibility of arranging painting and drawing
competitions annually in OSL Booni where student of
other schools can also participate.

 Science Department ꓽ
This Department is managed by Mr. Nasru
Minallahꓸ He is also the administrative Head of Orion
School Of Learning Booniꓸ This Department was also
established in 1990ꓸ Along with Mr. Nasru Minallah‚
MsꓸFeroza also manages many activities related to this
Department ꓸ Many other teachers work in this
Department and teach different subjects ꓸ The main

subjects in Science department include physics,
chemistry , Biology, Maths ,English and Urdu. Different
science exhibition are also arranged in OSL Booni
annually where talented students of other school also
participate.

cꓸ Concluding Remarks
During my nine week internship in Orion School
of Learning Booni I keenly observed the strengths and
weaknesses of the organization ꓸ The management of
OSL Booni is highly up to date and were able to take
quick actions for the well−being of the institute and
they appreciate new ideas for better change of the
Institute. Despite of the rough and damage building
their enthusiasm and efforts towards better education
system is beyond any doubt ꓸ

I am grateful for the opportunity to work with

such a dedicated team, and I sincerely appreciate the
guidance and support provided throughout my
internship. Collaborating with diverse team members
help me understand the importance teamwork and
effective collaboration.

 Brief introduction of section where I

did my internship
I was appointed as English teacher in Orion School
Of Learning Booni which was established in 1990ꓸ I was
working under Msꓸ Abida who guided me throughout
my internship duration ꓸ I was taking classes with grade
7 and 8ꓸThere were 30 students in grade 7 (16 boys and
14 girls) and there were 25 students in grade 8 (12 boys
and 13 girls)ꓸ I was also teaching other classes in
absence of other teachers ꓸ Apart from this I was also
working as an Assembly in charge ꓸ I also get the
opportunity of taking session with overall school about
the profit and loss of business along with Arshad
Jahangirꓸ I was working with the Organization from 1st of
June to 10th of August ꓸ

aꓸ Enviromental awarness
Orion School Of Learning Booni encourage
students to be very close to nature and protect the
beauty of it ꓸ They visit different areas with their
students and spread the awareness of preserving the
beauty of nature with not just their students but with
the people in surrounding ꓸ They educate their students
about the importance of reusing‚ recycling and reducing
different material ꓸ

bꓸ Co−Curricular Activities
It include all activities and programs that take
place outside of the traditional classrooms ꓸ It helps
students kinaesthetic‚ verbal and writing skills to
develop through making and displaying different
projects based on Scientific knowledge as well as Art,
Music, Literature and Sports ꓸ

co−curricular activities ꓸ

cꓸ Digital Awareness
Due to Covid−19 pandemic in 2020, Institutions
have depended on online learning to endorse to the
circumstances ꓸ It was important to aware Students
about security and privacy issues ꓸ In this context, OSL
Booni has played its role very well ꓸ The school has
made students aware of the advantages as well as
disadvantages of technologies ꓸ

dꓸ Health and safety responsibilities

Health and safety is essential consideration for
School staff ꓸ Every institution have a legal responsibility
to protect students from any kind of harm ꓸ Orion
School Of Learning Booni is working to ensure the safety
of their students and teachers ꓸ There is a committee
under Miss.Faiza who make sure the safety of students
and teachers. This committee works in case of any kind
of emergency. Emergency include Natural disasters,
students health issues and fight among students etc.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS ASSIGNED TO ME
DURING INTERNSHIP
 Session for a project of State Bank
National Financial Literacy
program for youth

1. Description of the project

I started my internship in Orion School of
learning Booni from 1st June 2022 till 10th of
August. I was given a task on my 18th day in OSL
Booni to work as a project manager of State Bank
National Financial literacy program for youth
along with Arshad Jahangir who was the head of
the project. It was a great experience for me to be
a part of that project.

 2. Objective of the project

The main objective of the project was to

educate the youth of Chitral about the profit and loss
of Businesses. This project was introduced by State
Bank of Pakistan in order to create an awareness in
youth related business.

3. Responsibilities during project

My responsibilities during the project are given
belowꓽ

 Organizing meetings related to project in OSL

Booni
 Arranging reading sessions for students
 Distributing relevant materials i.e.Books and
text to students
 Collecting feedback of students

a. Organizing meetings
As State Bank was working to aware youth of
Chitral.They were first arranging meetings with
officials of every school or college, and in OSL Booni I
was given the opportunity to arrange a meeting with
Teachers and Principal.

 The duration of meeting was forty minutes ,
after giving all the details about the project the
principal appreciated me for taking the responsibility
to manage this project at OSl Booni.

b. Arranging sessions for Students

The session is a key for communicating with
students. I organized my first sessions for duration of
an hour on 20th day of my internship for student of
grade two to five and on twenty first day of my
internship I arranged a session for student of grade
five to matric . I had to arrange two sessions per week
till one month.

First I had to arrange proper environment for

students so that they could learn so I chose school
ground. After arranging chairs and other materials I
made groups of students each group contained six
students .I started session at 9 am and by managing
my time I completed that at 10 am . I used easy
language so that they can understand easily. I
continued this process in other sessions as well.

 c.Distribution of books
In the session I was asked to distribute books
to the students “The pomegranate tree” it was a book
for student of grade 2 to 5 and “The pomegranate
juice” for student of grade 5 to matric .

d.Feedback of students
At the end of the session I was asked to collect
feedback from students in order to know their interest
and tell them to head of the project. I used to take oral
feedback . Oral feedback is a feedback that is given
verbally . I received a very positive feedback from
majority of the students most of the students were also
able to talk about all the points that have been shared
during the session.

 Other duties

aꓸ Teaching
It is the basic duty of every teacher in which they
have to teach a subject which has been assigned to
them ꓸ I was assigned as English Teacher for two grades
for duration of nine weeks ꓸ I was teaching English to
grade 7 and 8ꓸ I mostly used English during class instead
of teaching or explaining in their regional language ꓸ My
aim was to explain subject English to my students in its
own language instead of using regional language ꓸ I was
appreciated by MsꓸAbida for my exertion and teaching
strategies ꓸ

bꓸ Assembly incharge
During my 9 week internship apart from I was
also performing the duty of assembly in charge ꓸ It
was my responsibility to take care of students discipline
during the assembly ꓸ

 Conclusion

Orion School Of Learning Booni is excellent

Institution to experience internship as a teacher ꓸ It is a
great institution for undergraduate students to get
work experience ꓸ One of the best thing about Orion
School Of Learning Booni is that the management of the
organization is highly up to date and were able to take
quick action for the protection and well−being of the
institute and they also appreciate new ideas for better
change ꓸ They sincerely appreciate new employees and
their work ꓸ

During my 9 week work experience I found the

students very responsible, hardworking, and disciplined
and they were always ready to take participation in
co−curricular activities ꓸ

Apart from these Orion School of Learning Booni

also incourage their students to take take care of their
surrounding ꓸ Many sessions related to wild life,
cleanliness and Animal shelters are organized annually
within the organization ꓸ

Overall my internship experience at OSL Booni

has been incredibly rewarding and has provided me
with practical knowledge and skills . During my nine

weeks I really enjoyed working as a project manager of
financial literacy program. State Bank is doing great by
arranging such kind of sessions in schools for educating
youth .

Although OSL Booni is a great institution however

students communication skill need some focus that
must be acknowledged by the organization.

As OSL Booni is one of the oldest organization of

that area that is why its building is in bad conditions ꓸ
They need to show much concern about the bad
condition of their building so that they can attract more
students ꓸ
