“Unveiling the Blueprint for Success through Engaging in Sweet Potato Chip
Business”
Overview:
In today’s generation, young entrepreneurs are encouraged to start a business,
but some of them fail to do so because of the lack of knowledge they have,
which leads them to bankruptcy. The virtual webinar is designed to equip future
entrepreneurs and startup business owners with the skills, knowledge, and
strategies needed to start and run a successful business. This virtual webinar will
consist of five engaging webinars and each of them will be addressed.
Schedule:
The tentative date and time of the virtual webinar is July 8-12, 2024, from Monday
to Friday. According to the Philippine Retailers Association (2015), PLDT SME Nation
declares July as Small Business Month. This is an ideal month to conduct a virtual
webinar since this month is for small businesses, and schools have no classes, so
students may attend. Moreover, this month has no major holidays, so there are
no major competing events happening during the same time that might divert
the potential audience’s attention.
• Day 1: July 8th, 2024 – 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• Day 2: July 9th, 2024 – 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• Day 3: July 10th, 2024 – 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• Day 4: July 11th, 2024 – 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM
• Day 5: July 12th, 2024 – 8:30 AM to 10: 00 AM
Objectives:
The virtual webinar aims to teach young entrepreneurs how to start a successful
sweet potato chip business. It also provides techniques, strategies, and valuable
insights to help young entrepreneurs learn how to start a successful business and
why sweet potatoes are good for startup businesses. This engaging and
informative series covers a variety of topics, from generating initial ideas to
growing and maintaining a thriving business.
Webinar Topics:
1. How sweet potato chip business become popular with young
entrepreneurs?
Description:
Participants will learn the nutritional benefits of sweet potatoes and why it is a
good startup for business.
2. How to conduct a feasibility study and write a business plan?
Description:
Participants will learn how to conduct a feasibility study to examine all aspects
of a proposed project to determine the likelihood of its success. They will also
learn how to write a business plan that outlines their business goals, strategies,
and financial projections.
3. How much money do I need to start a business?
Description:
Participants will know the amount of money they need to start a business
depending on the type of business, size, and location.
4. How to Market and Sell the Product?
Description:
Participants will learn about different marketing and sales channels they can
use to reach their target market. They will also learn how to develop effective
marketing and sales strategies.
5. How to manage the pros and cons when starting up a business?
Description:
Participants will learn how to manage the pros and cons of starting up a
business. When starting a commercial enterprise, it is essential to manage the
pros and cons efficiently. Pros might also consist of independence, potential for
excessive profits, and private achievement. Cons might also involve financial
dangers and lengthy operating hours.
Target Participants:
The target audience in this webinar will be young entrepreneurs who aspire to
start their businesses, especially in the food industry. It includes individuals who are
between the ages of 18 years and above, college students, recent graduates,
and young professionals who may be included as a potential audience. Flavor
enthusiasts and snack lovers may also be one of the target participants.
Maximum Number:
We aim to accommodate 250 participants per session.

Delegation of Task:

Responsibilities: To make sure that every visible component of the event matches
the overall tone, develop the program, schedule speakers, manage sessions, and
more.
b) Logistics Coordinator: (Shinneth Cris Salvador Wapille, Jocelyn
Capangpangan, Edwin Gomez, Mae Daing)
Responsibilities: coordinating technical and logistical support services to
guarantee a smooth event execution. These services include event swag, goods,
venues, transportation, registration platforms, and other tangible and intangible
elements.
c) Finance Coordinator: (Jane Sanchez, Roner Geguiera, Pj Zamora, Mary Ann
Villahermosa)
Responsibilities: They manage the budget, handle registration fees, and track
expensive and revenue.
d) Marketing Coordinator: (Jessie Mae Patria, Shieramie Catalan, Marissa
Mahilum, Mylene Rupert Dayoc)
Responsibilities: They develop marketing strategies, create
promotional/marketing materials, and carry out marketing campaigns.
e) Registration Coordinator: (Nicko Dela Cruz, Sweety Joy Mocoy, Jessa Mae
Open, Jeinevelle Rose Vasaylaje)
Responsibilities: Arrange for online registration and payment, name tags, and the
implementation of on-site registration.
