Section A
Question 1
Improvisation

1. You are expected to create an improvisation. You have to create the theme of the
conversation you are going to have. Your improvisation has to be about the following
topics:

Topics:
1. You are in a conversation with your friend about different cultures and what they do.
2. You need to tell your friend about your families plans for the December holiday, have the
flow of conversation.
3. Explain to your parents why you want to study different African cultures. Provide reasons.

Make use of the following:

• Correct format for a dialogue.
• Make use of a mind map to center your ideas that you will use to guide the
conversation.
• Make sure to write down the conversation you will have with the other person.
• Even though this is an improvisation, there should be written evidence of the
conversation.

You will be assessed by a rubric. (25)

Question 2
Brainstorming a theme

2. You need to brainstorm and map out one of the following themes:
• African cultures
• Rituals in different cultures.
• Depression

Make use of the following:

• Write information relating to one of the themes.
• This has to be a summary of the theme.
• You need to write down key aspects.
• You need to write down both issues and solution for the theme.
