TASK 10: Creative writing: Project

INSTRUCTIONS

• This creative writing task takes the form of a project.

• For the project you will be working on the literary genre of folktales.
• You will do this project in your own time.
• For the project you will complete TWO creative writing assignments.
• At the end of your project, you will do an oral presentation of your project (Task 9).

You are required to complete BOTH questions for the project.

• Read the questions carefully.

• Study the rubrics before answering each question so that you know how you will be
assessed. These rubrics will also give you guidance on what you need to include in
your writing.

1. In Question 1 you will write a well-known folktale in your own words – or make up
your own folktale.

2. In Question 2 you will write a short song or rap about the folktale from Question 1.

• You should write 2–3 paragraphs.
• Each paragraph should have at least 4–5 sentences.
