The technology needs assessment was created using Google Forms.

This was sent out to the entire

school. 36 teachers completed this questionnaire in a middle/high school environment. 66.7% of
teachers answered that they use technology daily, 27.8% said they use technology several times a week,
2.8% said they rarely use technology, and 2.8% said they never use technology in their classroom. This
information is shown via the graph in figure one.

Figure one: Teacher responses to technology usage in the classrooms.

The most used technology device in our school is laptops with 32 teachers responding to using them in
the classroom and interactive boards with 28 teachers. Some of the other technology devices used in
classrooms are projectors, document cameras, educational software, and various game-based
assessment websites.

After reviewing all the data given, the biggest area of concern in the classroom currently is service
outages. These outages are something that cannot be changed by the staff in the schools, another
component to consider is that the interactive board freezes and un-syncs at times. It is also worth noting
that teachers in our school want more professional development in interactive boards.
