INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
The plan should guide the LEA’s use of education technology for the next three
years.

List specific start and end dates (7/1/xx to 6/30/xx). Provide a brief overview of
the LEA, its location and demographics and/or share a link to the LEA’s
website.

Answer 1
It’s planned that in this time period which starts from November 2019 to August 2021.
Ishik Ronaki Primary school, located on The Ronaki Street, Erbil , the center of Erbil
Governorate, which is the leading school in the district, every year the school ranks
the first or the second rank among all the school of the district in the evaluation which
is observed and done by the ministry of Education From KRG. The school is an
English Medium school, even though they're not any English native speaker teachers
and students but when you speak with the students you will find out how good their
English is? About 90% of the students are Kurdish and the other 10% are Arabic, and
Turkish students. The school is designing a program to align technology in managing
the school and teaching. The school's website is: www.ronakihawler.com

This Technology plan was declared for the parent, students, and the educators as
well. The general directorate explained the plan and how the plan takes us one more
step furtherer in using technology in the process of teaching and learning. It was also
clear for the attendants of the session on how technology is beneficial for education.

As we are all surrounded by technology, and technology has control over all
aspects of our lives. When you walk into a school, the first thing that you look
for is how technology is integrated into education in the school. Whether we
like it or not we are supposed to integrate technology with education.
Another reason behind integrating technology with education is that our
children are exposed to technology even much more than we are exposed to.
And that made them smart and interactive in using technology even in
preparing their project and assignments.
So such kind of world which is all surrounded by the technology, we shouldn’t
think of something else than getting to know and get to use to align technology
in the process of preparing the new generation for future.

The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use


of digital tools.

Use of educational technology is much less than what is expected among
teachers.

Although most of the teachers have access to a laptop, active boards,
projectors, and printers. They are still far below the average of using
technology in education.

As we mentioned above almost all of the students have access to technology,
but the sad news is it is not used for education.

The school has prepared an online application which leads the students
and the parents as well to use educational technology. Through using MY-
Mercury the school makes sure that technology is used for the required
purpose.

The plan aims at integrating the latest kind of educational technology with
education. The plan is strengthened with using different types of applications
and apps to implement the plan, as the plan requires all the teachers, parents
and teachers should stay accessed to internet. Therefore, the school provides
full internet access during the lessons and asks the parents to follow the
instructions which are provides through the form teachers daily.

Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.

According the annual plan that implements the designed plan, in order to use
internet safely and keep the users from addiction and misuse, the school
provides the teachers internet with up to a limit of using internet, the school
blocks some website and social media during the lessons which makes the
employees and the school staff to be safe from using their time with ruthless
things.

Whenever something new pops up, the teachers and the staff are not worried of how to use
the new tools of technology, because they are sure the school will explain everything related
to using the new tool. The school uses various ways to present the new tools; presentations,
workshops, tutorial videos and a short descriptions and pictures are included.
The teachers and administrative staff are now able to manage the school website, social
media, E-mail, information technology, design and everything related to publishing and
printouts.

professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.

All the teachers and administrators are required to attend meetings and workshops. Every
week there is a meeting among the all teachers of the school which are divided according to
their subjects. And they must also attend monthly meetings which happen among all the
teachers of Ronaki Hawler schools.

INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND


ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed
to improve education services.

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning


resources, technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that
will be used to support the Curriculum and Professional Development
Components of the plan.

There so many developments in Ishik Ronaki primary school. The existing
hardwares include: the latest type of 4K smartboards and 4K projectors for all
the classes. Internet access; 4G intent speed, and it is easily accessed.
Electronic learning resources: this year all the books were converted to
applications, all the books are now available to be used easily on the active
boards. Technical support that exist in our school are: A3, A4, colorful, black
and white printers, surveillance cameras, and there also evaluations available
for the teachers to assess the students online, evaluations for the students to
give feedback of the teachers, and the parents also can assess the school
activities. Teachers and employees are all provided with the school email.

Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources, networking


and telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical
support, and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.

The technology hardware that is used by the students are: in computer labs
each student is able to use log in to the computer that the has been provided
by the school, when they want to buy something in the restaurant, they are
able see the prices. The students can stay after the lessons finished and
complete their homework which are online based like; Raz Kids, Online
practice and Myon. The admonitors of the school inform the parents, students
and the teachers as well through using social apps, the teachers inform the
students of their assignments by using social apps and school websit.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT


The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in
response to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

The school aligns online assessments to find out about the students which is
implemented by the teachers, the teacher evaluates all his students over 5.
Then the parents and students are informed of that. This assessment is done
every two months.
The teachers are also assessed, each department has a head, so the head of
department attends the classes of all the teachers. This happens once in each
semester, even though the teachers are supposed to prepare micro lessons in
workshops and monthly meetings.
The school’s progress is also assessed once in a year, in this survey the
teachers, parents and students give a feedback for the school.
Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation,
including a description of the process and frequency of communicating
evaluation results to tech plan stakeholders.

As one of the Ronkai Hawler Schools, ISHIK RONAKI PRIMARY SCHOOL we


have got a specialist who is responsible for technology integration, once in a
week and four times in a month he tries to go and check all the equipment.
The stakeholder observes all the actions and meetings that are hold in order
to integrate technology into the process of teaching and learning.
