The National Educational Technology Plan represents 21st century learning powered by
technology in five spheres: learning, assessment, teaching, infrastructure and productivity.
The 21st century learning focuses what and how to teach to the learners according to their
needs and goals.
Describe the connection between the research and the plans goals.
The connection between the research and the plans goals is that the technology makes
possible to more learning resources than the traditional classroom instruction. On-demand
learning is now within reach, supporting learning that is life-long and life-wide (Bransford et
al., 2006).
The NETP provides not only learning but also gaining skills such as critical thinking,
complex problem solving, collaboration and multimedia communication. These skills are
essential to become expert learners to the rapidly changing world. Moreover, TFA.net, a
website for all new educators, which stands for Teach for America, offers valuable
resources for teachers.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

every 3 years. Projectors are to be upgraded to wall mounted projectors. Technology plan
aims to installing iPads for K-2 and K-3. Funding is under revision of district administration.
What are the LEAs curriculum goals and plans for assisting students to meet
content standards and demonstrate college and career readiness?
LEAs curriculum goal creates opportunities for teachers to design, develop, collaborate,
inspire and attract learners into the new profession. Today, professionals use the Internet
continuously, blogs, wikis for different purposes such as research, collaboration,
communication. For that reason students should get acquainted with technology, so that
they would be prepared to me more productive later in their college life and career.
Principals and students will be aware of Internet Use policies. LEA board policies offers
appropriate online behavior such as interaction via social networking, chat rooms. Each
student will be taught to Internet safety instruction.
Internet Use Procedures will be taught to all students. Safe, civil and legal online activities
for children can be accessed through electronic devices at school. Materials about
protecting children from scams, cybercrimes, online predators will be covered.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
How does your LEA regularly assess teachers and administrators personal
technology proficiency skills?
Every year LEA will held a contest as the 21st centuries best proficiency skilled teachers,
where all teachers can take part. Administrators hold monthly meetings to assess
proficiency skills of teachers. Teachers have meetings weekly to discuss and share their
opinion about technology skills.
Ongoing feedbacks and grades can help students to guide the learning process.
Researchers claim that if the technology is used properly than it provides invaluable way to
deliver more personalized learning in a cost-effective way. Scheduling flexibility, course
content, alternative education choices and media will be available for teachers and
administrators to assist with student assessment.
Each school site is equipped with computers, laptops, monitors, printers, etc. School
experts choose the hardware, however, they change very rapidly. Almost all students use
computer daily, most of the times computers need repairing.
Technology plan aims to combine all the servers and data of all schools,
so that teachers can have an access to all the services wherever they
are and whenever they want. It would be available to control all the
servers of all the schools in one county.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT
The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response to
new developments and opportunities as they arise.
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)
Who will oversee the data collection, analysis, and program modification
process?
