Uses of the future.

 will a modal verb that can be used to talk about the future in:
o future simple
will / shall + base verb
* to make predictions or possible conclusions
I bet it will be a wonderful journey.
Paul thinks Liverpool will win the match.
I shall probably go to bed late tonight.
Nobody will ever know what happened to her.

* to give or ask information about the future


This decision will cost a fortune to the Government.
She'll phone you tonight.
In another thirteen minutes, the alarm will go off.
Where shall we spend the night?
Will all the family be at the wedding?

* to talk about decisions made at the moment of speaking. Not planned.


The situation is getting tougher. I’ll call the police.
You can have it for half price. ~OK I'll buy it.

* to express requests, offers, orders, threats and promises


Will you open the door, please?
Shall I help you with your bags?
Will you be quiet!
I'll break his neck!
I’ll love you forever!

o future continuous or future progressive


will + be + -ing verb
* temporary actions and events that will be in progress or happening at a time
later than now
This time tomorrow, I’ll be lying on a beach in Cancun.
Sheila will be coming to dinner tonight.

o future perfect simple


will + have + verb in participle
* to talk about action that we think finished by a certain time from now
* to talk about decisions made at the moment of speaking
* to make offers and promises
I will have finished the translation by lunchtime.
The situation is getting tough. I’ll call the police.
She’ll be back in a moment.

o future perfect continuous
