PERFORMANCE TASK

“GEOMETRY in Real Life: A Collage” - PAIR OR TRIAD ACTIVITY

INSTRUCTIONS:

 Choose a partner or 2 groupmates that you want to work with.


 Select 2 or 3 objects around you or inside your house that you consider to be strong or stable.
(It could be any object like your table, chair, stairs, etc.)
 Take pictures of each and print them in a clean sheet of bond paper.
 Create an artistic collage with those pictures and include a title of your choice. You can use old
magazines/newspapers, and colored papers.
 Answer the following guide questions at the back page of your output or in a separate sheet of
paper.

GUIDE QUESTIONS:

1. Which part/s of the objects you have selected shows geometric terms or concepts such as
points, lines, polygons, or other plane figures?
2. How do you think those parts contribute to the stability of each object?
3. What geometric statements or principles (postulates and theorems) can support your answer in
question #2?
