Title of Intervention Project BRIDGER (Boosting Remedial Instruction Developing Greater Educational Results): An Innovation

Background/ Content The Department of Education is continuously providing means to helping augment the reading capability of school children through programs like the
"Bawat Bata Bumabasa" (3B's) at the national level and the "Bawat Batang Bikolano Bihasang
Bumasa” (5 B’s). The Division of Iriga City has also its special program in reading anchored on IRIGA Plus Program. These and other school reading
programs are all aimed at developing the reading and comprehension skills of children. Continuing efforts of educators in believing that school-aged
children be given the chance to explore the world and better understand it through excellent reading.
With this in mind, the San Rafael Elementary School is motivated to conduct this effort in developing the literacy and numeracy skills of pupils.
Objectives To raise the performance of Grades 1 to 6 learners who are in full refresher to moderate, moderate refresher to light refresher and light refresher to
Grade ready this school year 2023-2024. Moreover, this Project would like also to address issues on numeracy.

Plan for remedial activities in literacy and numeracy to address the needs of the identified full refresher, moderate refresher and light refresher learners.
1. Developing the phonemic awareness, fluency, and comprehension.
2. Providing varied activities and instructional materials for gradual progression of learners identified.
3. Producing readers who are functionally literate, numerate, and has confidence in dealing with various learners
4. Capacitate the teachers unto their professional development and personal well – being
