ACE

Booklet
Year 12
Name:
Dear Student

This document is aimed to help you to monitor your progress in each of your courses throughout the semester and
allows you to:

1. Plan for progress

2. Aim for your personal bests
3. Identify how you are going to improve
4. Allows you to identify if you are at risk in any particular areas

We will be monitoring these documents with you along with your classroom teachers throughout the term to ensure
you are on track and achieving your goals.

This document is your responsibility to keep up to date. Use your time during form period or at the end of lessons or at
home to keep it up to date, and celebrate every time you achieve a personal best.

Remember Year 11 and 12 is a marathon, not a sprint and it is the student who builds their performance to peak at the
end that will achieve the highest marks.

It is important that over time you ensure that you maintain high performance. Here are some tips to help along the
way:

1. Eat well. Ensure you have breakfast every day and eat healthily.

2. Get enough sleep. This is your body’s way of recovering.

3. Have a space to study at home and complete homework that is away from distractions.

4. Keep up to date. It is easy to fall a little behind but the speed of the race increases very quickly and this
can become unmanageable very quickly.

5. Have time to relax. Take time out for your body and mind to rest and refresh.

6. Maintain physical activity. Play a sport, exercise or go for a walk regularly.

7. Be organised. Keep your diary up to date and know when your busy times are. Plan around this.

8. Don’t leave things to the last minute. If you require support, see your teacher early so you can complete
set tasks on time.

9. Gain feedback from your teacher after every assessment

10. Always do your best. Do not settle for less.

We wish you well in your studies for Year 11. We look forward to sharing your successes with you over this time.
