Objectives :
1-Protect the health and safety of hospital workers from occupational hazards.
2-Improve the work environment in the hospital to make it safer and more comfortable for workers.
3-Raise the level of occupational health awareness among hospital workers
4-Evaluation of the nursing staff's adherence to preventive measures.
5-.Identification of the hazards faced by the nursing staff.
6-Evaluation of the risk factors affecting the health of the nursing staff.
Activities of visiting :
We went on a tour of the internal medicine, emergency, and surgical departments of the Al-Samad Hospital. Our
assessment of the nurses' treatment of patients and their attitude toward infectious diseases was based on our
observations. We evaluated how well they adhered to preventative measures. We observed that patients were not
being handled with prudence or personal protective equipment.The purpose of my visit was to:

*Review the hospital's occupational health policies and procedures.


*Interview occupational health officials and workers from various departments.
*Visit various departments in the hospital to observe working conditions and assess potential occupational hazards.p
Positives :
1-Decreased rates of occupational diseases and injuries in the workplace.
2-Improved the work environment in the hospital in terms of safety and comfort.
3-Increased occupational health awareness among hospital workers.
4-The commitment to placing sharp instruments in designated areas after use
Negatives :
1-The lack of a precise system for assessing occupational hazards in the hospital.
2-Inadequate financial resources allocated to occupational health in the hospital.
3-.Not wearing gloves
4-Not following personal protective measures
5-.Breaking ampoules without protection
6-.High risk of needlestick injuries due to fatigue and long hours of work without focus
7-Eating breakfast without washing hands after working with patients
Recommendation:
1-Establish a precise system for assessing occupational hazards in the hospital, including identifying potential
hazards, assessing them, and identifying the necessary preventive measures.

2-Increase the financial resources allocated to occupational health in the hospital, including providing the necessary
equipment and devices and training workers in occupational health

3-.Provide the necessary tools to protect nursing staff.

4-.Impose sanctions on those who do not adhere to preventive measures.

5-Raise awareness about the dangers of diseases that are transmitted through careless handling of patients.
