About our team

Our team is composed of three different individuals interested in
different fields. We are learning to become proficient web developers
in the future and we believe that this competition can improve our
potentials

Obstacles in remote workplace

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, businesses had no choice but to
adapt to remote workplace. This raises problems for mangers and
leaders as they don’t know that their employees will work as they do in
an ordinary workplace and that the given tasks will be finished in time.
In extreme cases, this problem can affect the firm heavily. People tend
to get distracted as while working from home. There may be
unexpected interruptions such as procrastination, distracted by social
media, and so on.
Business solution
We would like to build a web application that can track the
employee’s progress and can minimize people’s distraction and
improve efficiency. The manager will be able to assign tasks to a specific
employee with a time limit. If the employee is required to make a
product, he or she has to make a photo report. The system will notify if
the tasks are not finished at each quarter.

Concept and Technical Architecture

The web application would be developed by using SpringMVC and
Hibernate architecture. As per normal system, login function will work
as shown in the following diagram:
The manager will or the head of the employee can assign the task to
various employees. Once the tasks had been assigned, the employees
will be notified via email and page notification system.

Once an employee finishes a task, a photo of the product must be

submitted as a proof (assuming that the factory workers have to make
a product.). The photo will be evaluated by the manager and the
progress will be notified.
In addition, AWS services can be integrated into different layers of the
system.
We can use AWS EC2 as web hosting.
Amazon Aurora can be used in database tier instead of MySQL and or
other conventional relational databases.
In addition of Amazon Aurora, can be used for file storage.
AWS Budget can be integrated in service tier to calculate budget for
employees.

Business Benefits
I believe with the use of AWS web services, business can take
advantages of working from home. With proper time and resources,
various functions, such as holding meetings, payment transfer, discrete
reporting systems to imitate the actual work place. In addition, for
managers, machine learning methods for predicting various aspects as
workforce, trends, sales and market conditions.
