Registration for e-filing:-

1. Log on to NCLT E-Filing website (https://efiling.nclt.gov.in).


2. Click on ‘Register’ in the home page.
3. Select the required user type for registration. Registration can be done as Individual,
Advocate, IRP/RP, CA, CS, etc.
4. Fill the required user detail for creating user ID. Phone No., Email ID, Address,
Registration No./ Enrollment No. etc will be required.
5. OTP will be sent to the registered phone no. which needs to be submitted to proceed
further.
6. Verification Documents needs to be uploaded such as PAN, Aadhar, Voter ID,
Registration Certificate, etc. for proof.
7. After successful registration Id & password will be sent to the registered email id.
Password needs to be changed after logging in for the first time.

E-filing Procedure:-

1. After refreshing the page, enter login details.


2. Select NCLT option.
3. Click on the “Petition corner”, “respondent corner” option, etc as per the requirement.
4. Basic details needs to be filled such as case type, case title, NCLT Location,
jurisdiction, Section of relevant statute, name of respondent etc.
5. 16-digit Reference number will pop up after submitting the basic details. Reference
number should be noted down for future reference.
6. Petitioner’s details needs to be filled example name, address phone no. Also,
Authorised Persons name, PAN no. and email id needs to be submitted mandatorily.
7. Respondent’s details needs to be filled example name, address phone no. Also,
Authorised Persons name, PAN no. and email id needs to be submitted mandatorily.
8. Documents needs to be uploaded pdf format like appeal, affidavit, annexure, proof of
service, etc.. Total Number of pages needs to be mentioned.
9. After uploading the documents, a check list will show up. It will contain general
questions like whether NCLT have jurisdiction, whether brief of synopsis or dates of
events has been filed, whether relevant provisions have been clearly mentioned, etc.
10. Final preview of the of the submission will be shown and one needs to check the
information and submit it.
11. Payment can be done both online and offline. If we select online option, then it will
direct the person to ‘Bharatkosh’ website. If one wants to pay through offline mode
then that person needs to keep the details of demand draft handy.
12. Receipt generated can be downloaded and that needs to be submitted before NCLT
with the hardcopies of petition.

NOTE: Filing under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code  for IBC Code the workflow
remains the same as above with only few changes , that is, to add IRP details as it is
mandatory u/s 7 & 9 of IBC and optional under others.

Mandatory pre-requisites at the time of e-filing in NCLT are:

1. All the original typed text material will be prepared electronically (as per part III Rule
20 of NCLT Rules 2016).
2. Document should be save as PDF in PDF/A version.
3. The supporting documents (like image based, text, etc) should be converted into
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) searchable PDF or PDF/A using any PDF
converter.
4. Each document should be proper book marked before e-filing in the NCLT system.
5. The PDF/A version documents are mandatory for e-filing followed by signature using
Digital Signature Certificate (DGC) issued by Certifying Authority (CA).
6. Online e-filing shall not be watermarked or encrypted.
