ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We would like to start by sincerely appreciating our professor, Madam Ku Mui Fui
laoshi, for providing the guidelines for the role play script. She had provided us with a
fantastic chance to finish our task on time. We owe our lecturer a great deal because of
her guidance, which taught us a great deal of new vocabulary and concepts.
In addition to my lecturer, we would also like to express our gratitude to our course
mates, who shared tips on how to write the role-play script and greatly assisted us in
completing the assignment in the allotted time. Without them, we could have had
trouble finishing the assignment. Furthermore, without the effort and cooperation from
our group members, this project paper script could not be completed successfully.
Finally, we would want to express our gratitude to every family for their spiritual
support in helping us to carry out this study. This task was completed not just for grades
but also to broaden our Mandarin language proficiency. We appreciate all of your
assistance.

SCRIPT OBJECTIVE
1. Language Practice: By doing this task, it will provide an opportunity for us to
practice and reinforce our Mandarin language skills in a practical, real-life
context. It allows us to use the language in a more interactive and dynamic way,
improving their speaking and listening abilities.

2. Confidence Building: Engaging in role plays can boost our confidence in using
Mandarin. The interactive nature of role plays allows us to overcome the fear of
making mistakes and encourages us to take risks in our learning journey.

3. Communication Skills: Role plays help us in developing our communication

skills, including the ability to express ourselves clearly, negotiate meaning, and
understand spoken Mandarin in different situations.

4. To show the moral values of the role-play to community.

SYNOPSYS
In scene 1, Charlene and Khairul went to the supermarket to buy groceries for
dinner and deciding about what to cook for the dinner.
In scene 2, while buying groceries at supermarket, Khairul was chatting with
Charlene about their planning for the holiday trip in Pulau Langkawi.
In scene 3, Izzat and Azy got a message on WhatsApp about Khairul who was
admitted to the hospital while they were chatting.
In scene 4, on their way to the hospital to visit Khairul, Izzat found out that his
wallet was missing and he asks Azy to accompany him to file a police report at the
police station.
In scene 5, Izzat, Azy, Charlene and Khairul went to Kuala Lumpur and Pulau
Langkawi for a vacation.
In scene 6, Azy and Charlene are fresh graduates that are looking for a job. They
attended an interview at AAA Company. The interviewers are Izzat and Khairul.

SCENE 1 :
At the supermarket to buy ingredients to cook for dinner.

who was admitted to the hospital.

SCENE 4 :
On the way to the hospital to visit Khairul, Izzat found his wallet was missing and he
asks Azy to accompany him to file a police report at the police station.

IZZAT Zāogāo! Wǒ de qiánbāo bújiàn le, wǒ yīnggāi zěnme bàn?

(D4) Oh no! I have lost my wallet. What should I do?

ÀZY Nǐ yīnggāi qù bàojǐng. Bié dānxīn, wǒ péi nǐ qù.
