District Input: Capt. Gregory Morenko, Third District Commander, provided the following input:
Reference the allegations that Trooper was texting on his cell phone while driving, it is apparent from
the video that this did in fact occur. Additionally, Trooper

alleged Tpr. subjected her son, , to racial profiling during a traffic stop on
February 2023.
Trooper stopped , who is black, for speed mph on February 2023 in Burton. During the
stop, admitted to traveling 55 mph. Trooper issued a citation for speed 40/35. paid
this citation. thought Trooper stopped her son because involvement in the civil rights movement
in Flint.
During the stop, Trooper and engaged in cordial conversation. There were no statements made by
Trooper related to race.
Trooper .
During the investigation, Trooper was found to have sent a work related text while operating his patrol car. This
matter was discussed with his chain of command and referred to them for corrective action as they deemed appropriate.
