QUARTER 2 – WEEK 1
I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:


A. Describe the different types of warm-up exercises.
B. Appreciate the importance of warm-up exercises to our health and body.
C. Create a short dance executing the warm-up exercises.

aware of how warm-up exercise affects their health and body.

 The teacher discusses what is Warm-up
 The teacher will discuss what are the importance of Warm-Up
 The teacher will give additional information about the difference between
Warm-Up and Stretching
 The teacher will discuss the different types of Warm-Up
 Neck Stretch, Shoulder Rolls, Side Arm Stretch, Triceps Stretch and Knee
Bends/Squat

D. Application
In this activity, the class will be divided into two (2) groups. They will create a
short dance executing the different warm-up exercises, they will choose what
kind of music they’re going to use, and each group has two (2) minutes to
perform. You have 10 minutes to practice and after that, we’re going to start the
activity.
Criteria of Short Dance
Execution of warm-up exercise 30%

Presentation of the activity 30%

Choice of music 15%

Formation 15%

Cooperation 10%

Total 100%

Why do we need to warm up before the activity?

IV. Evaluation
I. IDENTIFICATION: Identify the statement that is being asked.
1. It is to use the left arm/hand to gently push the right arm towards the body
to stretch.
2. A type of stretch that you need to pull in your abdominal muscles and keep
your lower back in a near-neutral position.
3. A stretch where your head bends forward and slightly pulls it to the ride
side.
4. It is a type of stretching that rolls the shoulders in a circular motion
forward to backwards.
5. Stretching that uses the other hand to grasp the elbow and stretch your
triceps muscle.
