Background
• The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint to achieve a better
and more sustainable future for all.
• Materials science plays a crucial role in contributing to several Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) by providing solutions and innovations that address
global challenges
• As two leading and prominent research institutions, BRIN (Indonesia) and RIKEN
(Japan) can become driving forces for broader collaboration between the two
countries in achieving the SDGs
• In addition to creating a good environment for researchers to exchange scientific
insight, we are also organizing a dedicated school for students during the
conference.
• This initiative aims to cultivate a talent pool of material scientists and engineers,
ensuring the development of a skilled and knowledgeable workforce for the
challenges of tomorrow
