Senior DevOps Azure and Git Engineer - Job Description

About the role:


The Senior DevOps Engineer will be dedicated to facilitating a seamless transition of projects to
the company Enterprise Services. The initial focus will be on Migration and Co-pilot integrations.
The role involves direct client interaction, delivering exceptional service through workshops,
office hours, and Q&A sessions.

Duties and responsibilities

● Implement post-sales repository migrations and integrations.


● Participate in a 3-4 week onboarding and shadowing period, including completing
GitHub and MS certifications and learning from the company’s Pro services team.
● Independently manage projects after the first month.
● Provide post-migration support, tailoring solutions to client needs, and identifying
opportunities for further product integration.
● Coordinate with clients and internal teams across various time zones

Qualifications:
● Azure as main Cloud provider
● Strong skills in Bash, Ruby, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for scripting and automation.
● In-depth knowledge of Git version control system.
● Proficiency with GitHub platform and workflows.
● Excellent problem-solving skills in technical, product, and business domains.
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
● Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
● Experience coordinating with geographically dispersed teams.

Must have skills:


● 5+ years of experience in Software Development or DevOps.
● 3-5 years of customer-facing experience.
● Expertise in strategic planning for DevOps adoption, including defining success criteria
and metrics.
● Experience working within a vendor organization.
● Familiarity with legacy version control systems (e.g., SVN, TFS, ClearCase, AccuRev).
● Comfort in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Good to have skills:


● Project Management skills, ideally Scrum certified.
● AWS and GCP cloud providers experience
● Experience handling multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
● Ability to provide training and guidance on GitHub enterprise products.
● Experience in large-scale migrations (e.g., enterprises with extensive repositories and
user bases).
Working Location: 100% Remote
Main job time zone: UTC -5
Time zone overlap requirements: 8 hours minimum.
Estimated Contract duration: 12 months
