    “D-2” TYPE SHIFTING TOOL

    Application:

    • The “D-2” type shifting tool is used to selectively open


    and close BFC Model “L” type sliding sleeves.

    Features:

    • Has fishing neck

    • Has locating collet

    • Has equalization feature to keep tool from being blown up


    the hole due to differential pressure that is greater in the
    annulus.

    • Has shear pin safety release.

    Operation:

    Prior to running, the tool must be redressed with the proper


    collet and the correct spacing between the collet and the
    shifting dogs must be adjusted if required.
