    “F” TYPE COLLAR STOP

    Application:

    • The “F” type collar stop is used to prevent slickline tools


    and/or control devices from falling through the tubing into
    the casing.

    Features:

    • Has a fishing neck

    • Can be set in any collar recess in the tubing string.

    • Has large flow area

    Operation:

    The “F” type collar stop is pinned on an “A” type running tool
    and lowered to a depth below the collar it is to be set in.
    Upward movement of the tool string through the collar releases
    the setting arms of the tool. When the tool string is lowered the
    setting arms lock in the collar recess. Downward jarring shears
    the pin in the running tools and the tool string is retrieved.
