You are on page 1of 1

Hello.

Some of you already know me, but for the rest of you, my name is Kimpreet Rehal, I'm running for head
boy with a commitment to making a real difference in our school.

So, I'm going to keep it short of why I should be head boy [list rolls down]

First things first it is clear that year 12 hasn't had many memorable residential trips, once I become head boy, I
pledge to change this. I will organize more exciting and bigger trips, something for students to look up for, it will
also give students a chance to create long lasting memories and unforgettable moments and a break from
school like we all deserve.

Many of you that do PE may have noticed that our equipment's could use a little upgrading. Nobody wants to
play with damaged rackets and bats or use unstable weights. I will make sure to priorities improving our fitness
facilities so every student has access to top-notch equipment that inspires us to stay healthy as I'm a I'm a big
believer in health and because of that I will also organize marathons to raise money for Charites and children in
need ,and make sure there will be prizes to be won ranging from free school meal to amazon gift cards.

Furthermore, this school has celebrated religions and cultures however as head boy I will plan for us to
celebrate even more religions and cultures around the world and having more cultural foods in the restaurant
that don't taste like wet bread. We will also have food stalls outside the school where students can pick and
choose what they would like to eat from uniquely different cultures and celbrate them together.

However, you may hear all these great ideas from me or other candidates. But while writing this speech, I
realized that my ideas aren't important. What I or the other candidates want for this school is not important.
Your ideas are important. I am in no place to dictate how I think this school could be improved, you are. My role
as head boy is to represent YOUR ideas and be YOUR voice. As head boy, I will revolutionize how we put
YOUR opinion across. Currently, the system for expressing ideas and thoughts is muddled, inconsistent, and
severely inadequate. As head boy, I will aim to improve the system, restructure it, and most importantly, I will
ensure this becomes a daily occurrence.

I do not want to be sole source of ideas, so I need your help [point] to improve the school

So, I now ask, would you rather have one student come up with the brilliant ideas, or should it be all 200 of us,
all uniquely different from each other.

Remember, when you vote this week, vote for yourself. Vote for YOUR ideas. Vote for the school. And
remember Vote Kimpreet.

Thank you.
