Cartridge Filter

Operation Instructions
I. Introduction
This equipment can be used for the filtration of liquid materials in the chemical industry. The PP melt spinning cartridge is
used from the inside to the inside. The nominal filtering accuracy ranging from I micron to 50 microns. The cartridge will
not be influenced by the inlet pressure fluctuates, thus its filtration accuracy will not be affected. Its unique low pressure
drop, high flux, good filter accuracy and economic costs have become a new type of filter element that replaces non-fixed
filter elements such as wire bypass and cardboard and is welcomed by users.

III. Operating Instructions


I. Filter A runs, B stops; valves A I, A2 are opened, valves BI, 82, and Care closed; fluid flows in the pipeline as shown
in the figure below, blue indicates the dirty liquid before filtration, and cyan indicates the clear liquid after filtration;

IV. Installation and Using


I. Install the base: see the direction of inlet and outlet before installation. The liquid should flow from the outside of the
filter element to the center. and the pipe conected with the filter element socket is at the outlet. There is an arrow on the
filter pipe to indicate the flow direction, do not connect it wrong.
2. Install the filter element: Insert the filter element(hole end) into the internal hole plate the filter, then align the gland, and
tighten the M 12 bolt appropriately.
3. Install the upper cover, pay attention to the place the sealing gasket to be flat, check that there is no leakage at the sealing.
4. When filtering liquid, first open the exhaust valve on the top of the filter to exhaust the air in the cylinder and fill the
cylinder with liquid, otherwise it will affect the flow rate.
5. When the filter medium flows through the filter, there will be a pressure drop due to resistance (that is, the pressure
difference between entering and exiting). In order to overcome this resistance and maintain sufficient flow, there must be
sufficient working pressure when necessary. In order to prevent the filter element from being impacted by excessive flow.
the valve must be opened slowly!
6. When using optional pumps, please pay attention to matching the flow and pressure. It is better to choose self-priming
pumps such as vortex pumps and infusion pumps.
7. The filtrate should be lighted up when the machine is shut down. If the time is not long, it is not necessary to open the
filter; if the time is long or the filtrate should not be stored for a long time, the filter or filter element should be cleaned.
V. Operational considerations
I. Before the filter is used, it is necessary to check whether the accessories and sealing ring are safe and whether there is any
damage, and then install it as required.
2. The filter must be cleaned with detergent (please do not clean with acid).
3. Don't connect the inlet and outlet reversely during installation, the general principle is to enter in and out (filter element).
4. The core is encapsulated by the manufacturer in a plastic bag in a clean production plant. Do not tear the plastic
packaging without using it
5. When the filtered liquid enters, the vent valve on the filter should be opened to fill the filter with liquid, otherwise the
filtering effect will be affected.
6. The pressure gauge of the cylinder shows the pressure of the liquid in the filter. A s the time of use increases, their
pressure difference will increase and the flow rate will decrease. This indicates that most of the pores of the filter element
have been blocked, and the filter element must be cleaned or replaced.
7. When filtering, the pressure used is generally about 0.1Mpa. which can meet the needs of production. With the increase
of time and flow, the micropores of the filter element will be blocked and the pressure will increase. Generally, it should not
exceed 0.3Mpa. It must not exceed 0.5Mpa. Otherwise, the filter element will be broken down and accidents will occur. If it
is determined to be above 0.5Mpa, you can contact us, and we will process it for you according to your requirements.
8. When the filter element is not in use, try to light up the filtrate, and the filtrate should not be stored overnight. Generally.
do not open the filter or unplug the filter element when the downtime is not long. The filter element and the filter must be
cleaned before using it again (the backflush method can also be used for flushing).
9. The temperature resistance of the filter element produced by our company is generally 25°C-50°C. The long-term
operating temperature should be controlled below 60 °C.

11. If it is used as optional equipment, pay attention to the required flow, pressure and pump head to match. Generally.
vortex pumps, infusion pumps, etc. are suitable. The material is 304 or 3 I 6L stainless steel, and the end face is selected with
mechanical seals.

VI. Maintenance
For filters that have been out of service for a long time. the inside and outside of the tilter must be cleaned, the filter element
must be removed, washed and dried, and stored in a plastic bag to avoid damage. Do not use corrosive substances such as
hydrochloric acid as the cleaning agent, and the temperature should not be too high to prevent deformation of polypropylene.
Avoid contamination and impact when storing.
