Workers, supervisors, welding, client visitors may get affected by slips and trips hazards.

Workers might slip on oil spills or other slippery substances, causing them to lose balance and fall which can lead to various injuries including sprains,
fractures, and bruises.

In severe cases, head injuries, back injuries, and even concussions can occur if the falls are from a height or involve impact with metallic sharp or hard
objects.

What are you already doing?

1. Good housekeeping is well maintained by regularly cleaning and organizing the workshop area.
2. Warning Signs are used to alert workers of slippery floors or potential hazards.
3. Tools, equipment, and materials are stored in designated areas to keep the walkways obstacles free.
4. Workers are provided with appropriate anti slippery safety footwear.

What further controls/actions are required?

1. Consider Installing non-slip flooring materials to reduce the chances of slipping, especially in areas with high potential of spillage.
2. Procure spill kits to be readily available to contain oil or liquid spills immediately.
3. Procurement of first aid kit box with sufficient number and distribute it in the different areas of the workshop with a first aid box sign referring to it.
4. A risk assessment analyzing the various risks associated with people's mobility within the workshop should be conducted to identify and address
potential hazards.
5. To enhance lighting by installing adequate Lighting in all areas to improve visibility and reduce the risk of tripping over obstacles.
