Also, workers perform tasks on top of the trailer truck during rigging lifting operation for piping.

Who might be harmed?

Workers, welders and riggers.

Workers and riggers may fall from height, which can result in serious injuries such as multiple broken bones, bruises, neck or spinal injuries leading to

permanent paralysis.

Fall may cause life changing injuries causing lasting pain or permanent disability (Back and spinal injuries), where a person will no longer be able to work and
will need constant care from others, worst case scenario could be fatal if the falling involve impact with hard object such as crane outriggers or pipes.

What are you already doing?

1. Working Platforms used for the assembly of the pipes and components are properly secured, stable, and equipped with guardrails.
2. Clear communication among workers involved in the rigging tasks is well maintained to ensure safe coordination.
3. Appropriate fall protection equipment such as safety harness with shock absorber and double lanyard provided for workers involved in working at
height.

What further controls/actions are required?

1. Comprehensive working at height training to be conducted to workers including proper usage of fall protection equipment, safe climbing techniques.
2. A risk assessment to be conducted to identify working at height potential hazards and implement specific control measures accordingly.
3. To assign competent supervisors to oversee and monitor tasks being performed at height, ensuring that safety protocols are followed.
4. Conduct frequent inspections of all fall protection equipment and working platforms, to ensure they meet safety standards.
