 Work by school and select the grade level that you have an assessment data for SY
2021-2022.
 Disaggregate the contents of the assessment by identifying the learning competency of
each item.
 Count the number of learners in the entire grade level who are able to answer correctly
and incorrectly.
 Select priority competencies that you will have to reteach.

 Organize a training for teachers by a math expert on the following:


o Inverse of addition and subtraction
o Problem solving strategies for the subtraction
 Workshop will showcase teachers’ strategies to teach problem solving on subtraction
Monitoring:

 The demonstration teaching during the workshop will be given feedback using the COT
 A checklist will be used to observe the teachers when they teach problem solving. The
following criteria will be given feedback:
o Pre problem solving strategies are implemented
o Support for the comprehending the problem is provided
o Learners are encouraged with different strategies to solve the problem
o Rechecking of answers are taught
o Metacognitive problem solving strategies are taught to learners
